Senior Manager - Trade Settlement - BFS

Job Description:

Assignments include:

- Help migrate and stabilize the trade processing roles into India

- Run the teams as BAU post - go - live- and help the team come up the ramp up and learning curve

- Perform Front to Back study between trading system and Sub ledger for trading performed Globally

- Work closely with teams in Front/Middle/Back office to evaluate risks and resolve downstream failure of transactions

- Work proactively to create more effective settlement / recon Systems and enhance processes for improved efficiency and control

- Primary point of contact in GGN / HYD for all key stakeholders with any questions related to Reconciliations

- Manage ad-hoc projects and liaise with internal counterparts in different regions

- Assessment and enhancement of controls and operational risk framework

- Large scale project and program management

- Team player who openly supports, encourages and shares knowledge with colleagues

- Intellectual strength / flexibility to rapidly understand complex problems and work on deliverable solutions

Responsibilities:

- Familiarity with markets products ideally in more than one asset class. Experience / working knowledge of Equity and Fixed Income products in capital markets is required

- Proven track to Execute and Deliver

- Risk and internal controls experience

- Manage teams across time zones and regions - APAC / EMEA / AMRS

- Ability to cope with delivery within very tight deadlines under high pressure.

- Ability to manage large teams and work with across teams/locations to accomplish goals in a timely manner.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and effective interpersonal skills.

- Demonstrable ability to cultivate and nurture credibility-based relationships with stakeholders and partners across all levels and functional areas

- Escalation of critical risks & non-compliance with policies, standards, and limits

Requirements:

Education:

- Any PG preferably an MBA or Excellent graduate level education

Experience :

- Front to Back of Global Securities with a min. of 7-9 years in Capital Markets settlements

- Large scale project and program management

Mandatory skills:

- Successful track record in the capital markets industry, a specialist financial services consultancy

- Good appreciation of current market trends in Capital Markets

- Good (in depth at Manager Level) understanding of one or more capital markets product areas (including OTC and exchange traded / listed derivatives, equity and fixed income securities, repo / stock lending, commodities and FX)

- Ability to develop and deliver high quality output against stated project objectives and meet tight deadlines

- Process Improvement - Business Process Re-engineering (BPR), Business Process Management (BPM), Workflow, Exception Processing, Process Control Review and Design, Six Sigma, Lean, Process Modeling, Process Metrics

- Business Requirements Definition - Functional Requirements Definition, Use Case Definition, Business Analysis

Desired skills:

- Analysis and implementation of changes driven by global regulatory reform

- Good understanding of end to end process flows for the various capital markets participants (broker/dealers, asset managers, prime brokers, custodians, market infrastructure)

- Ability to work under limited supervision (- self-starter- ) in unstructured environments
