- Responsible for ensuring adherence to all tax related statutory compliances as well as focus on implementing best practices for driving tax strategies.
- Advise the Corporate Finance Head on various matters pertaining to tax planning & execution (for e.g. GST)
- Periodically review all processes within the organization from a tax perspective & identify areas of opportunities for savings of tax via direct and indirect tax strategy suggestions
- Handling assessments for Direct & Indirect taxes.
- Monitor developments on the tax front (new judgements, rules and regulations) and assess impact of the same
- Extensively monitor tax litigation and monitor strength of the company's stand on a periodic basis
- Guide the team in conducting/ arranging workshops for tax related awareness in teams/ departments basis need
- Ensure adherence to all tax related statutory compliances
- Monitor developments on the tax front (new judgements, rules and regulations) and assess impact of the same
- Build work relations of the team with audit committee and external auditors
Perform the role of a people manager for the department :
a. Manage and support recruitment, set KRA's for direct reports, monitor overall department KRA's, conduct performance appraisal
b. Oversee team development and drive motivation levels of the team
c. Monitor team welfare, facilitate complaint resolution to manage efficiency levels and drive timely delivery of all operational targets
