Title : Senior Manager Taxation ( US , UK & India)
Location : Gurgaon
Role :The role will be part of Shared Services team under tax. Tax team focuses on all aspects of tax reporting including enhancing productivity and efficiency of core compliance through process and technology, monitoring tax risk and opportunities across all tax disciplines, engaging and educating Finance and the broader organization regarding tax considerations, and prioritizing team resources to support key work streams.
Principal Accountabilities :Structuring of transactions:- Establish tax efficient structures for group companies across jurisdictions like US, UK & India
- Understand the business models and review tax and regulatory positions on cross-border transactions, keeping in mind the local laws, transfer pricing regulations, economic substance regulations and double taxation avoidance agreements.
- Implement innovative tax planning solutions to optimize effective tax rate (ETR) of the group companies and timely review of large transactions to ensure minimum tax leakages.
- Handle a wide variety of complex, demanding and high-profile transactions related to fundraising, acquisitions, mergers, buy-outs, and joint ventures.
- Manage intra-group restructurings and timely closure of the transactions with minimal disruption to the business.
Compliances & Filings:- Performing a detailed technical review of returns (US & Non US) and work papers with attention to tax issues
- Manage a team involved in reviewing Sales Tax return in all 50 states.
- Manage Property tax returns and process
- Performing review of estimated payment and withholding calculations and related filings.
- Researching tax legislation and assisting with impact on compliance.
- Assisting with various tax projects related to tax planning, restructuring, due diligence, audit defense, and accounting for income taxes
- Supervising tax consultants and team members on assigned jobs
- Lead technology and process improvements (working along with other tools and opportunities available) to ensure accurate, efficient and timely compliance and reporting
- Review US GAAP quarterly and year-end tax provision calculations for US GAAP and/or local tax provisions
- Research tax consequences of various US and foreign transactions
- Ensure that all filing deadlines are met in compliance with the Company's tax calendar
- Keeps abreast of new tax and accounting developments through active participation in professional organizations and continuing education.
- Lead tax authority inquiries and audits as they arise
- Ensures records and documentation provide adequate audit trails for all transactions. Implements systems of analytical models, reports, and templates with cross checks to other appropriate data sources to ensure consistency and accuracy of outcomes.
- Manages multiple ad-hoc projects to ensure an adequate level of financial services are provided to departmental, operating unit, and executive management.
- Lead tax accounting and forecasting processes; and engage with governmental agents, external advisors, and financial statement auditors

Service Excellence :- Ensuring that overall delivery of services to Operating companies meets or exceeds agreed KPIs and SLAs defined between Operating Companies and SC and is within a strong internal control framework.
- Partner with the Service Management team to:
o Develop and track Service Level Agreements (SLA) to ensure service delivery excellence.
o Provide input to service reporting.
o Facilitate service transition when required.
- Ensure that Internal Customer issues are dealt with in accordance with the escalation process and push back where this is not the case.

Educational Qualification/ Work Experience :- CA / CPA/ IRS Enrolled Agent (E.A) certification obtained/ or in process or must be willing to obtain
- 7+ years of global tax experience, preferably in US/ UK corporate income tax, Sales tax, Use tax, VAT either in-house with multinational corporation or in public accounting, preferably Big 6 accounting firm
- Experience in Direct & Indirect taxes with a public accounting firm or equivalent experience in a large corporate tax department is preferred
- Demonstrate strong understanding of US GAAP accounting principles; CPA is preferred
- Experience in using data and analytical tools including Excel and data visualization tools is preferred
- Experience with One Source and Net Suite, or similar tax software and general ledger system, is preferred
- Ability to lead and manage process transitions with a focus on timely completion
- Deal effectively with ambiguous and unstructured problems and situations
- Move easily between big picture thinking and managing relevant detail
- Manage stakeholders at all organizational levels, with emphasis on the use of active listening skills and communication abilities, both written and verbal, to articulate messages to various audiences clearly
