Position :

- The Tax Technology team's mission is to develop, implement and integrate technology solutions that better serve our clients and engagement teams. As a member of core Tax practice, you'll develop a deep tax technical knowledge and outstanding database, data analytics and programming skills.

- Ever-increasing regulations require tax departments to gather, organize and analyze more data than ever before. Often the data necessary to satisfy these ever-increasing and complex regulations must be collected from a variety of systems and departments throughout an organization.

- Effectively and efficiently handling the variety and volume of data is often extremely challenging and time consuming for a company.

- Tax Technology team members work side-by-side with the firm's partners, clients and tax technical subject matter experts to develop and incorporate technology solutions that enhance value-add, improve efficiencies and enable our clients with disruptive and market leading tools supporting Tax.

- Tax Technology works closely with clients and professionals in the following areas: Federal Business Tax Services, Partnership Compliance, Corporate Compliance, Indirect Tax Services, Human Capital, and Internal Tax Services.

- Tax Technology provides solution architecture, application development, testing and maintenance support to the global TAX service line both on a pro-active basis and in response to specific requests.

- We are currently seeking a Senior Manager to join our Tax Technology practice in Bangalore, India.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the solution design and development of Tax tools and technology solutions working with Data Analytics, Process Excellence, IT Services and Tax SMEs.

- Oversee project delivery on a variety of engagements, incorporating technology to address complex tax problems.

- Close collaboration with Tax Data Analytics team to develop models based upon state and local reporting and tax requirements.

- Develop solutions and services to help clients automate their tax data and logic computations.

- Manage projects in a demanding, time-sensitive environment and deliver high-quality solutions through the use of cross-functional teams and remote resources.

Qualification :

- Bachelor's / Master's degree in Software Engineering / Information Technology / MBA / Graduate Degree in Accounting or Finance or a graduate degree or minor or dual degree in Accounting Information Systems preferred.

- An overall 10-14 years- experience with at least 6-8 years of relevant hands on work experience building, integrating and delivering enterprise-wide web and windows applications for US Tax practice using Microsoft and other technologies for large organizations on complex projects.

- Demonstrated expertise in tax technology application design and construction, work breakdown structure of items, design and code reviews, unit test and build activities, deployment and performance related activities, documentation, support and training/ mentoring.

- Excellent interpersonal communication and team skills required to operate as a contributing member of global technical teams that deliver quality services.

- Excellent technical skills designing, developing, debugging, documenting, and implementing applications.

- Excellent knowledge and experience in all IT methodologies and life cycles that will be used.

- Possesses an understanding of IT Services: service offerings, technical standards and policies, technical and business strategies as well as organizational structure.

- Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships and a proven ability to thrive under pressure.

- Maintains awareness of new and emerging technologies and the potential application on service offerings and products provided by IT.

- Practical or academic experience in standard process analysis tools, process mapping and flow chart diagramming preferred.

- Ability to quickly understand complex tax and either a formal education or strong interest in data modelling and analysis.

- Experience and understanding of tax domain and technology tools such as - Web API, web services, web client framework, REST ASP.Net MVC, ASP.Net Web Forms and Win Forms

- HTML 5, JSON, Web Services, WCF, WPF, VBA and SharePoint

- JavaScript, jQuery and ideally other libraries such as D3.JS, Backbone and Angular, CSS

- Use of Version control tools such as Git and TFS

- Configure and Deploy web apps in IIS

- Experience of working with applications that have a SQL Server backend

- Azure / Big data and other cloud based solution development

- Developing applications for Mobile platforms
