Senior Manager - Sustainability - Ethics & Compliance - eCommerce

Designation : Senior Manager - Sustainability

Location: Bangalore

Job Summary:

The position heads the Sustainability matrix function and is responsible to ensure that all our suppliers meet the highest levels of Legal, Social, Environmental compliance requirements and work with us (Flipkart) to contribute to help common people lead a high quality life.

- Processes

To create & drive processes to ensure all our suppliers meet the highest levels of compliance

Working with suppliers to build their competence to self-manage all compliance requirements at their factory (& over time at their sub-suppliers)

- Compliances

Responsible for

- Supplier Assessments during supplier selection process (to ensure right suppliers are on-boarded)

- Periodic Supplier Audits,

- Drive improvements identified during Assessments & Audits together with the Buyer

- Social Initiatives

Work with Marketing, Category, suppliers etc to support Social initiative programmes

- Engagement with Govt & other agencies

Engage with different agencies, representing Flipkart, to drive our Sustainabaility programme and contribute to helping common people lead a high quality life

Desired skills and experience:

- Experience of working on Sustainability agenda (for at least 5 years)

- Should have prior experience of working in manufacturing environments

- Should have worked as an auditor

- Strong leadership capabilities

- Self driven

- Knowledge of legal, environmental laws etc, relevant audit standards etc

- Project Management (desirable)

- Willing to travel
