Senior Manager - Supply Chain/Supply Planning - Pulp & Paper Manufacturing

The company produces excellent quality writing and printing paper, and they are the leading manufacturer of tissue and board, as well as Rayon Grade Pulp (RGP) products. They have the largest single location manufacturing facility in India with an estimated revenue of $24.1 million. Our client continues to be the committed employer of the local community and has achieved many international standards like OHSAS and FSC as a leading producer of pulp and paper.

As the Sr. Manager - Supply Chain - Supply Planning, you will be responsible for the implementation and evaluation of all supply chain - supply planning activities and procedures like production planning, material procurement, inventory control, shipment and logistics.

What you will do:

1) Planning & Control :

- Developing production plans in coordination with Demand Planner

- Driving S&OP process

- Participating in capacity planning and analysis, highlighting constraints and excess capacity

- Performing Product mix-profitability matrix analysis enhancing business growth

- Working closely with Procurement on forward buying, production - exigency controls, etc., in case of shortage of materials/products

- Having long term visibility for high lead time/ critical raw materials

2) Efficiency Monitoring :

- Monitoring and continuously striving to improve OTIF levels

- Providing support for ongoing and new automations/ process improvements planned in the supply chain processes

- Monitoring accuracy of production plans and variance

- Providing feedback to all concerned teams to ensure greater efficiency of the planning process and minimize deviation from plans

3) Inventory Management :

- Managing inventory targets (including safety stock levels) for raw materials in close coordination with Demand Planner and Procurement organization to develop inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs

- Identifying and leading implementation of optimization opportunities, to manage the cost of RM inventory lying at factory, depots, etc.

4) Finished Goods Dispatch :

- Maximizing delivery of finished goods from various units as per given customer orders and deadlines in coordination with Logistics team

5) Master Data Management :

- Ensuring the Master data correctness in ERP

- Providing appropriate training to users to ensure timely MRP runs with proper results

6) Subordinate Development :

- Planning and monitoring performance of subordinates and team and coaching them on how to improve the same in order to meet departmental goals

- Identifying and planning for requisite training and development requirements

What you need to know/have:

- Male candidates preferred

- Engineering and MBA candidates with demonstrable experience of 5-8 years in a similar role

- Hands on knowledge in demand supply and material planning is highly preferred

- Candidates with SAP module knowledge is a great plus

- Strong communication skills

- Flexible for moderate travelling
