Senior Manager - Supply Chain & Logistics

We are currently hiring a senior manager to handle supply chain and logistics for a European brands India operations in retail and Ecommerce

We are looking at only candidates from apparel, footwear or other fashion and lifestyle related categories

Purpose and objectives of the job:

Role is responsible for overall management of logistics services including Warehousing, Distribution, Regulatory compliance and Customer Service. Responsibilities include, but not limited to inbound & outbound operations, distribution, inventory management, procurement of packaging, controlling costs withing logistics budget across D2C and wholesale channels.

Tasks and accountabilities:

- Manage warehouse operations across FTWZ & Domestic DCs through 3PL operators as per the agreed SLAs & SOP

- Oversee 3PL operations for on-time completion of receiving & outbound, orders fulfilment, returns & inventory accuracy

- Responsible for the preparation of relevant KPIs as well as the development of reports and dashboards to take informed business decisions with regards to Warehouse and increasing the efficiency.

- Daily monitoring of warehousing tasks to ensure on-time deliveries to retail, online & marketplace channels

- Track OTIF, provide real-time feedback & visibility of orders fulfilment at every stage

- Ensure seamless flow of shipments in & out of FTWZ in close co-ordination with CHAs, carriers & 3PL operators

- Plan and execute optimal utilization of warehouse capacity and resources at all times

- Cross functionally collaborate with all internal stakeholders - sales, merchandising, finance, marketing & regional supply chain for timely updates & escalation

- Plan and monitor prompt availability of stocks for key campaign launches, new store openings

- Ensure compliance on the WH premises with all applicable regulations and company standards.

- Conduct regular cycle counts, audits, and reconciliations to ensure inventory accuracy

- Manage Procurement and maintaining sufficient inventory for all the packaging material required for D2C

and B2B channels

- Support finance to develop logistics budget and scrutinize & control actual costs

- Negotiate with service providers with regard to storage, handling, transportation, packaging costs

- Validate invoices from supplier / service providers

- Regularly review all on-going processes and recommend & implement improvements

- Enforce strict compliance with regulatory requirements for customs, BIS, WLRO, SVB and MRP labelling

Competencies:

- Extensive knowledge in FTWZ / customs clearance / regulatory requirements

- Proficient user of Microsoft Office applications, BI, ERP/SAP, WMS

- Excellent communication and presentation skills with good command of English (reading and writing)

- Creativity and demonstrated ability to think innovatively and quickly

- Energetic and results-oriented individual with a strong 'can-do attitude'

- Strong project management and organization skills

Qualifications:

Education

- University Degree with additional qualifications in Supply Chain

Work experience

- 10 years working experience in managing logistics & warehousing, preferably within the fashion and lifestyle industry

- Experience in international environment with high demands in processes and leadership, as well as communication

Personal Skills

- Being able to work tactically with details, but also understand overarching strategy
