Job Description:
Designation: Senior Manager - Strategy (Merger & Acquisition and Budgeting)
Experience - 6- 10 years of relevant experience
Qualification: MBA from a Tier 1 institution or a Chartered Accountant
Location: Mumbai -(Kala Godha)
Role/Responsibilities:
- Build detailed and well linked financial models for decision making related to investments, acquisitions, capital raise
- Conduct valuation exercise (using DCF and other methodologies) on the target opportunities and guide on purchase price (using IRR and NPV methodologies).
- Screening new investment opportunities in identified sectors
- Conducting financial and business analysis for various strategic projects related to inorganic and organic growth
- Financial due diligence of target companies to identify suitable companies for JV/M&A
- Reviewing financial documents from the annual/interim filings and regulatory statements of entities across geographies
- Lead long range financial planning; familiarity / experience in driver-based forecasting models; Impact calculation of various price volume decisions; build and maintain group consolidated model to explain fund requirements on a monthly/quarterly/yearly basis
- Ensure incubation budget and expenditure; Project cost/schedule tracking against target
- Work with CFO's team and be a business partner for support functions
- Reporting Manager - AVP, M&A and Strategy.
Education and work experience:
- MBA from a Tier 1 institution or a Chartered Accountant
- 3 to 5 years of work experience in finance: Financial planning and analysis, equity research, corporate finance, investment banking, private equity or similar experience
- Must have prior experience in the manufacturing sector- preference will be given to someone with experience in Chemicals/Automobile/EV segment.
Technical Skills:
- Good experience in financial modeling and understanding of valuation methodologies:
- Discounted cash flow analysis (DCF), Comparable public company analysis, comparable transaction analysis, LBO analysis
- Strong knowledge of MS Office and particularly Excel (should have extensively used functions such as pivot tables, lookups, index/match, data tables (for sensitivity analysis), offset etc.)
- Willingness to dig deep and comfort with abstract projects; should be able to create a narrative out of numbers
Soft skills:
- Analytical and logical thought flow with high level of attention to detail
- Self-driven and ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based environment with minimal supervision; high level of ownership
- Strong research skills
- Be able to organize and track overlapping tasks and assignments, with frequent priority changes.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills - frequent interactions with C-Level executives
