Senior Manager - Service Delivery Model

- Looking for a Sr. SDM Manager for our esteemed client - an internationally reputed not-for-profit. Candidates with 10+ years of experience in strategizing and executing projects pertaining to service delivery models preferably in the agricultural value chains and sustainability space would be preferred. 


- The incumbent should be based out of/open to move to Gurgaon/Bangalore. Experienced executives who have a good knowledge of building and managing strategic partnerships, analysing data and financial modelling with excellent verbal and written communication skills may apply. 
Core job functions : 

a. Identify opportunities for delivery model analyses and define scope of the engagement.

b. Develop strategic partnerships with key private sector companies and convene ecosystem of players with aligned interests.

c. Lead execution of financial modeling and delivery model analyses both with individual companies as well as multi-partner eco-systems.

d. Manage the quantitative and qualitative delivery model analyses of individual companies including profit and loss projections for smallholders, FPOs or other aggregators and companies. This will include regular travel to the field operations of individual case owners.

e. Qualitatively understand, describe and visualize the delivery models and its components, both at a strategic (objectives, challenges, opportunities) and operational (operating model, design, partnerships) level.

f. Build business models that show the economics of the business for companies, smallholder farmers, their interdependence, and their sensitivity to various changes (e.g., price volatility, default rates, impact of services).

g. Build analytical models to forecast financing and investment needs of companies as well as the parameters under which the financing is viable (eg. Interest rates, default rates).

h. Drawing on the insights from your analysis, provide strategic advice to partners on the design of their delivery models.

i. Co-design and develop technical assistance projects and oversee their implementation.

j. Develop business as well as global partnerships with companies whom you support with strategic advice on how to sustainably include smallholders in the global supply chains.

k. Carry out quality control of delivery models and provide feedback and guidance to junior analysts. . Actively contribute to further developing the delivery model methodology, lead process improvement initiatives and support the operational setup of the organization.

Required Qualifications and Education : 

- M.Sc. in economics, business, supply chain management, or similar;

- 10+ years of relevant working experience;

- Outstanding analytical skills and ability to drive process for quality analysis and reports;

- Extensive experience in advising senior external stakeholders at a strategic level;

- Deep understanding of (financial) business models and experience in building models (proficiency in Excel is a must);

- Thorough understanding of smallholder-based agricultural value chains (from a private sector perspective);

- Outstanding presentation skills, incl. building PPTs;

- Result-oriented, self-propelling and self-organized, eye for detail;

- Excellent oral and written communications and presentation skills. Fluency in English.

- Willingness to travel extensively (approx. 1 week per month) and ability to deliver on tight deadlines.

Additional desired Qualifications : 

- Fluency in Hindi, and Marathi, Telugu, Kannada, French, Spanish or Portuguese will be a plus
