The BRM is a senior full-time employee responsible for building relationships with business leaders at various levels in the corporate environment, extending into the regions where Services are Global in nature, on behalf of Group IT.
The BRM is a key contributor for executing IT strategy by providing leadership and vision for IT Services within the corporate environment and in the regions, for Global Services. In addition, the BRM is responsible for balancing and coordinating the fulfillment of demands. The Business Relationship Manager participates with the Business SPOC in directing and prioritizing the provisioning of new and enhanced services
As per business requirements, ensures that the Business needs are captured appropriately, and provides key input for the creation and maintenance of the overall IT Strategy.
This BRM role will focus on the management of the IT portfolio affecting the Business for Finance (including Service Centers).
This highly visible role that will focus on:
- Ensuring that the service line or region under their responsibility get maximum value from IT to increase customer intimacy, release productivity and costs in enterprise, commercial and industrial operations, and promote the benefits of knowledge sharing across business and IT. Articulate business needs and issues into corporate and regional ITSC requirements and solutions
- Inspiring and Managing IT demand to ensure the most valuable and effective use of IT investment,
- Understanding and responding to future needs of the business,
- Ensuring that IT service quality matches with business expectation for IT operations and projects delivery
- Educating business users on the value of IT engagement within their service line or region, and
- Increasing awareness of the services provided by the IT organization.

MAIN ACTIVITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Be the voice of IT in the country organization, from CxO level to the lowest level of the organization, and the voice of country at all level at the IT organization.
- Develop and maintain strong and productive relationships with business leaders associated to a particular region or line of service using a variety of methods.
- Engage with Business Executives and run regular business-focused discussions to understand the vision and anticipate IT/technology needs. Mobilize the right experts across the organization and translate the needs into a compelling IT/Technology vision and strategy that is understood and shared across the organization (Business and IT).
- Consult with business leaders to identify strategic technology needs, offer guidance based on industry trends and support business objectives of service line or region. Work to extend relationships beyond assigned operational group or service line.
- Organize necessary committees and demand alignment meetings in order to ensure proper coordination and governance across the businesses. Develop success criteria with business leaders and measure progress of IT initiatives against those factors
- Develop engagement strategies to challenge and motivate business leaders.
- Develop and apply influencing strategies to support business leaders in making decisions related to technology
- Act as liaison between the business and IT to communicate needs, discuss critical success factors.
- Works with the various levels of IT and Business Management to develop and coordinate technology advancements.
- Meet regularly external customers and business partner to understand their way of doing business, their challenges/ issues and their expectations from LH. From there, work closely with all respective internal stakeholders to identify how technology could be used to address those pain points or new opportunities and elaborate a strategic plan together with Regional and Group IT team.
- Use customer knowledge to develop appropriate longer-term relationship techniques.
- Works with the Business Process Owners on approach and methodology for best use of systems.
- Advise Business Process Owners and operational management on technological advancements and opportunities
- Work with the GBS organization to identify areas where process could be improved using lean six sigma approach in close collaboration with the CPI teams.
- Conduct needs and impact analysis on business requests to identify opportunities to link programs, processes, and systems throughout the organization to achieve optimal efficiency.
- Administratively manage the IT team being based in country but supervised by other team lead (ie Field Services, Business Engagement Team, GI&O team)
- Contribute and Actively Participate in the Global Demand Directive and Demand Management Process
- Supporting Group IT leadership in business forums to build credibility with a vast diversity of stakeholders, from different origins (Business and IT)
- Works direct with Group IT Leaders responsible for maintaining the integrity of the core application while ensuring the application meets the functional needs of operations.
- Ensures enhancements are effectively carried out.
- Works alongside global IT groups for the development of world-wide templates as it relates to Demand Management.
- Participates directly with Senior Business Management to maintain strategic business visibility within the IT Community.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and take accountability for service delivery along with Project Management.
- Monitor progress of IT projects associated to business in order to ensure successful implementation and continued development of credibility of IT areas.
- Act as a single point of contact or escalation for demand requests.
- Ensure transparency to operational group of new or changing requirements and their impact on IT initiatives.
- Facilitate monthly performance reviews with operational group leaders.
- Assist the business in forecasting, documenting and planning for future needs.

PROFILE REQUIRED
Level of education/qualifications normally required:
- Undergraduate degree in Information Technology, Business, Computer Science or a related discipline
Specific work experience:
- 5-10 years experience with business, and/or process environment and standards
- 5-10 years Business Relationship management experience
- 5-7 years of effective people and/or process management experience
- ITIL certification an asset
- Project Management or Business Analysis certification an asset
- Experience in vendor and financial management
