JOB DESCRIPTION
'IDF' is seeking an Sr. Manager - Sales & BD will be responsible to create, identify, qualify, pursue and win business opportunities. This position leads as Sales & Business development (Defense) team, working in conjunction with the GM/VP/CEO, as well as the Business Development (Industrial/ Civil) team. Candidate should be comfortable conversing in the key areas of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles / Unmanned Aerial Systems and various payloads.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identifying opportunities to deliver profitable business across the Defense sector.
- Must have ability to deal with internal stakeholders and execute tasks/ assignments set before and beyond KRA's/ KPI's
- Relationship management with key clients In Army, Navy, Air Force and Coast Guard both at the HQ level at Delhi and in Command and Corps HQs.
- Seeding product requirements at both HQ level and also in Command & Corps HQs of Army, Navy & Air Force.
- Hands on experience of handling complete tender procurement cycle in Army / Navy / Air Force starting from preparing response to RFI/EOI/RFP, formulating technical & commercial bids, conducting trials, participation in price negotiation and finally signing of contract.
- Developing & maintaining relationship with clients to generate new business.
- Designing and preparing business plans and sales pipeline.
- Preparing and delivering technical presentations to Key decision makers of the client organization.
- Experience of managing the Sales cycle of large Capital procurement projects at AHQ / Navy HQ / Air HQ.
- Participation in various exhibitions and events organized by both industry bodies and by the client organization.
- Clear understanding of channel sales ecosystem and ability to work with multiple channel sales partners across the assigned territory.
- Have the ability to identify and select new channel sales partners in the assigned territory.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate for this challenging position should possess:
- Bachelors/ Master's degree with 10+ years Sales & BD experience in Defense sector. Short Service Commissioned Officers from Army / Navy / Air Force with some prior Sales and BD experience, post leaving Defense services would be preferred
- Have a strong understanding of Defense business
- Strong understanding of DPP & DPM
- Competitive, flexible and resourceful professional with very good networking and communication skills. Open-minded, persuasive and able to deal with all levels at customer accounts
- Talented in writing proposals, giving presentations, performing technology demonstrations, forecasting and closing transactions.
- Candidate should have strong business acumen and a real commitment to achieving goals & results.
- Willingness to travel as per project and business requirement.
