1. We would need someone senior handling India level or multiple geography claims.. and much involved in Claims assessments and approvals.
2. Also someone with more exposure to global stakeholders, external customers, insurance companies, lawyers etc.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The candidate will be responsible to manage and further develop the management of effective Claims Handling & Cargo damage/loss prevention (CLP) program from a holistic perspective of the region Asia-Pacific.
SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Work closely and support the Claims Country Managers in the Asia-Pacific countries as well as the corresponding Corp Claims Managers at Head Office functions in Europe.
2. Represent the interest of Asia-Pacific within the Global Claims & CLP advisory bodies.
3. Regionally responsible for Claims and CLP implementation and developments of standards, SOP's, tools and projects in close collaboration with claims network and local operations.
4. Support in handling of complicated & large claims and arbitrate in internal claims disputes.
5. Make recommendations and submission of reports to Regional Management to improve and enhance Claim and Cargo Loss Prevention (CLP) procedures, measures, systems and performance.
6. Responsible for follow-up activities to ensure successful implementation through e.g. risk assessment, audits, KPI's performance and incidents.
7. Ensure and support the region that adequate Claims Handling & Reporting trainings are in place, ranging from general awareness trainings. IT tool trainings to function specific trainings.
8. Support and steer claims investigations in alignment with claims network, surveyors, and recommend/implement cargo loss prevention measures.
SKILLS REQUIRED
- Developed leadership skills, good and positive attitude, diplomatic but very assertive character
- Ability to drive change programs and innovative thinking
- Ability to work independently as well in team and to take firm decisions
- Ability to structure and document processes
- Proven 'hands on' track record
- Analytical, meticulous, thorough and structured working approach, works well under pressure
- Excellent English skills (written and spoken)
- Skillful user of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and solid IT system knowledge
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Min. 10 year claims handling experience including marine cargo claims handling
- Firm knowledge of industry standards, laws and conventions referring to claims handling and cargo damage and loss prevention
- Assertive, highly driven, systematic and efficient
- A team player who is responsible and able to work independently
- Strong communication and pedagogical skills
