About Organization: We are looking for Senior Manager - Real World Evidence (RWE) for one of the global life-sciences management consulting firm that provides strategic and tactical insights to clients worldwide. Blending consulting services with research capabilities, they specialize in corporate strategy, pipeline & portfolio optimization, brand planning, market analytics, promotional effectiveness, and licensing & acquisition. They are based out of Boston, MA, and with offices in New York City, Princeton, San Francisco and Gurgaon.
The firm is seeking a talented, committed, and entrepreneurial individual to join their Real-World Evidence (RWE) Analytics team as a Senior Manager. This individual will be an integral member of the RWE management team, leading a small group of junior statisticians and data scientists in Gurgaon office. The Senior Manager will work closely with RWE colleagues in India and the US to address their clients- business needs using cutting-edge analytics. With an eye for detail and a creative mindset, he/she will be responsible for designing studies & providing direction to junior analysts on project teams, developing new RWE analytics capabilities, and standardizing internal processes.
Position Responsibilities:
- Project/client engagements - support multiple project teams as an expert in real-world data and advanced analytics methodologies
- Oversee project-based activities related to study design, analysis methodologies, and troubleshooting
- Work with the RWE client delivery teams to translate the client's business questions into specific analyses
- Effectively manage time and deliverables with regular communication to RWE client delivery teams and senior leaders
- Analyze quantitative data, identifying key themes and turning them into actionable solutions / insights for clients
Manage a small team of RWE statisticians and data scientists in the Gurgaon office
- Manage staffing availability, performance reviews, and mentorship for analysts in the Gurgaon office
- Actively support recruiting efforts, together with providing training and mentoring support to additional and/or more junior staff
- Fulfill other related roles as assigned from time to time, e.g., development of new analytical offerings
Position Requirements:
Education
- Education: MS or PhD in Mathematics, Statistics or Biostatistics. Majors in related fields, such as Epidemiology and Econometrics, will also be considered only if the candidate possesses a strong statistical background with demonstrated work experience.
Work Experience
- Direct work experience in a life sciences consulting / data analytics environment
- Extensive knowledge of and experience with life sciences real-world data is a must (e.g., administrative claims / EMR data from IQVIA, SHA, OptumHealth, TruvenHealth, Specialty Pharmacies, etc.)
- Proven track record of managing cross functional project teams
- Applied experience with mathematical and/or statistical theories and models
- Experience with regression modeling, survival analysis and longitudinal models preferred
- Fluent proficiency R and/or Python (proficiency in other languages such as SAS and SQL is a plus)
- Proficiency in Excel, and PowerPoint
