JOB TITLE: Senior Manager - Purchase

Department: Purchase

Location: Mumbai

Reporting: GM - Purchase, Both functional and Admistrative

Co-ordinates with: Production, Plant, Logistics, Accounts, IT, sales

Job Purpose

To co-ordinate the purchase of raw materials as per requirements. Responsible for material planning and inventory management.

Principle Responsibilities:

1. Work out procurement plan based on the sales forecast & BOM

2. Review of raw material status on a weekly basis from all the plants and alert on any surprises or variations

3. Exploring various possibilities on saving potentials, to move in market place to find the landed prices, especially for commodities supplies, viz. Sugar etc

4. Consolidating tender prices on regular basis and have tap on tender release dates

5. Prepare purchase order, inform accounts for execution of RTGS and other formalities.

6. Ensuring the integrity of the Raw Material and updating changes if any

7. Quarterly review of the rates across the country for any variations

8. Meeting vendors and developing new and better vendors while retaining the vendors that have already been developed

9. Final negotiations with all the vendors to work out the best possible rates.

10. Streamlining SAP and ensuring its smooth functioning

11. Ensuring minimum variance of raw material at all the locations

12. Centralized negotiation of rates for purchase of materials, scrap rates etc.

In Depth Knowledge:

- Having Good knowledge of raw materials Purchase

- MS Office

- SAP

- Market scenarios for the concerned products

Qualifications:

Post Graduate in any field, Management Qualifications will be an added advantage

Experience : 10-15 + years in FMCG, or Related Industry
