Reason for the hire:
OLA Foundation is looking to hire the Senior Manager-Program Strategy and Design to be responsible for program design and strategy at the organisation. The incumbent will be tasked with operational oversight and design and development of programs in the Livelihood Domain and/or Healthcare Domain to support the organisation's strategic direction, as well as creating and managing long term goals. She/he/they will provide technical direction to project staff and partners in the thematic areas of public health & livelihoods and provide recommendations for improvements.
She/he/they should also be assisting in building funding proposals, budget estimates for program implementation and other projects. She/he/they will have to conduct regular and annual evaluations and implement new strategies as per need of the program and also assist in writing reports and manuscripts.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Strategy Planning and Execution
- Should understand the public health & livelihoods ecosystem of India.
- Should be well versed in various initiatives of the government.
- Should have a technology-based approach in designing programs.
- Planning, designing, and developing programs.
- Ability to develop budget estimates for research projects/studies.
- Organize and facilitate exposure visits to enhance people's understanding of various trades and of professionalism.
Program Designer
- Collaborate with other team members to design & develop healthcare & livelihoods interventions.
- Ability to draft notes, memos and briefs as well as filing and categorizing data and records.
- Should have evidence synthesis skills.
- Should be able to analyze and identify trends and patterns and be able to do evidence synthesis work.
Knowledge Management Specialist
- Do primary and secondary level research and extract and collate data.
- Should be able to analyze and identify trends and patterns.
- Should be able to do evidence synthesis work.
- Ability to create detailed notes and documents around online literature databases.
- Analyze the data and apply it toward risk of bias assessment.
- Conduct survey campaigns among target populations to collect data on health trends.
- Gather and analyze data on health trends.
- Assist with report writing & publication.

Must Haves:
- The incumbent should come with around 8-10 years of experience with a demonstrable track record in leading, designing & managing programs.
- The incumbent should have demonstrated experience in understanding government systems.
- The incumbent must bring along relevant experience in working with other community-based organisations.
- The incumbent must have the ability to think, visualize and execute strategies for programs.
- The incumbent must have the ability to design programs with sustainable outcomes.
- The incumbent must have hands on field experience.
- The incumbent must commit to working a minimum of 1 year with the organisation.
Preferable:
- The incumbent can have additional experience of working in livelihood programs and knowledge about the challenges of healthcare programs in urban and rural India.
- The incumbent is preferred to have substantial experience in a leadership role, having built, inspired, and managed cross-functional teams leading them to succeed.
