Senior Manager - Product & Policy - NBFC

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product and Policies Specialist to join our Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC) in the automotive sector. As a Product and Policies Specialist, you will be responsible for developing, managing, and implementing effective product strategies and policies related to vehicles and tractors financing. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including risk management, sales, and operations, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and drive business growth.

Responsibilities:

Develop and enhance product offerings:

- Conduct market research and analysis to identify customer needs and market trends related to vehicle and tractor financing.

- Develop innovative product strategies and features to meet customer demands and gain a competitive advantage.

- Collaborate with the technology team to ensure seamless integration of product features into existing systems.

- Monitor and evaluate product performance, making data-driven recommendations for improvements.

Policy development and implementation:

- Create and review policies and procedures related to vehicle and tractor financing, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

- Stay updated with changes in relevant regulations and ensure timely adjustments to policies and procedures.

- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations.

- Train sales and operations teams on product policies, ensuring a clear understanding of guidelines and processes.

Risk management and underwriting:

- Collaborate with the risk management team to establish appropriate risk assessment methodologies and underwriting guidelines for vehicle and tractor financing.

- Review credit applications and assess the creditworthiness of borrowers, ensuring adherence to established risk parameters.

- Analyze portfolio performance, identify potential risks, and recommend proactive measures to mitigate risk exposure.

- Monitor delinquency rates and develop strategies to minimize default rates and improve collections.

Market and competitor analysis:

- Conduct regular market and competitor analysis to identify emerging trends, competitive threats, and opportunities for product enhancements.

- Analyze competitor product offerings, pricing, and promotional strategies to maintain a competitive edge.

- Make recommendations on pricing strategies, promotional campaigns, and customer acquisition initiatives.

Cross-functional collaboration:

- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop effective go-to-market strategies for vehicle and tractor financing products.

- Provide product training and support to the sales team to ensure a clear understanding of product features, benefits, and target customers.

- Work closely with operations and customer service teams to address customer feedback, resolve issues, and enhance the overall customer experience.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

- Proven experience (X years) in product management, policies, or underwriting in the financial services industry, preferably in an NBFC or banking institution.

- Strong understanding of vehicle and tractor financing products and services, including loan structures, credit assessment, and risk management.

- In-depth knowledge of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements governing NBFCs and the automotive finance industry.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

- Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure accuracy and compliance.
