Hiring for Global Consulting Firm for a Private Debt Research Role for Senior Manager Level

Location - Mumbai

Hybrid role

Shifts - 12-9PM

Team is looking for an investment professional to aid in the private debt fund investment due diligence process.

Primary job function:

- Leading quantitative and qualitative data requests from private debt managers for fund due diligence

- Contribute to the investment decision-making and manager-selection processes

- Conducting fund manager due diligence, involving a broad set of qualitative and quantitative considerations

- Maintain updated investment due diligence notes, meeting notes and recommendations in proprietary database

- Storing and organizing data on a central database

- After data is received from the investment manager, the individual is responsible for formatting such data then inputting it into a research template

- Organizing and ensuring that the research template is filled in correctly and lacking errors, so it is ready for distribution to Private Debt research group

- Amending and fixing research template errors based on direction from Private Debt research group

- Making sure the accuracy of the data inserted into the research template is of the highest integrity

- Monitor portfolio performance and markets trends

- Develop reports for internal, external client presentations and senior management

- Contribute to fund performance analysis and draft fund commentaries

- Develop reports for internal, external client presentations and senior management

- Contribute in terms of new investment ideas, actively sharing views and opinions during regular team meetings

Desired skills:

- 7+ years experience in global markets with adequate exposure in multi-asset/alternatives

- Prior experience in asset management or investment research with strong understanding of investment strategies

- BE/B Tech from a top tier college and/or master's in finance / MBA

- Evidence of expertise in statistical tools

- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and other core Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

- Can work under pressure and meet deadlines, while delivering a high quality end product

- Some working knowledge of the private debt asset class

- Intellectual curiosity and the desire to expand your private debt knowledge
