Job Purpose :

The Sourcing Strategy Specialist within the Business Training and Development department is responsible for creating and executing advanced sourcing strategies that align with the organization's business training objectives. This role involves the design, development, and delivery of training solutions that enhance employee performance and business outcomes. The specialist will ensure that all learning interventions are strategically aligned with organizational goals, technologically sound, and accessible to diverse learner groups.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Sourcing Strategy Development:

- Develop and implement sourcing strategies that support the business training needs of the organization.

- Engage with business leaders to identify training needs and align sourcing strategies with broader business goals.

Project Management:

- Oversee the entire lifecycle of training projects, including building course development and review timelines, defining project communication plans with SMEs, and incorporating the right learning professionals in deployment plans.

- Adjust project plans as needed to address changing business requirements and learning objectives.

Instructional Design:

- Design and develop learning objectives that directly support business performance goals.

- Sequence and structure content to facilitate maximum learner engagement and retention.

- Develop comprehensive instructor-led training materials tailored to both learners and facilitators within a business context.

Technical Writing and Content Development:

- Utilize advanced writing skills to create clear, concise, and effective training materials, with a focus on business applications.

- Simplify complex business processes and proprietary technologies through well-structured instructional content.

- Leverage expert knowledge of at least one eLearning authoring tool such as Articulate Storyline, Articulate Rise, Easy Generator, Camtasia, or Vyond to produce high-quality business training modules.

Multimedia and Graphic Design:

- Create visually appealing and pedagogically sound multimedia content tailored to the business environment.

- Design learning in a variety of modalities and map content to the best modality. Build content that appeals to visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learners.

Learning Technology and Standards Compliance:

- Evaluate and incorporate learning technologies that enhance access and tracking of business training outcomes.

- Ensure all business training modules comply with Section 508 and other relevant industry standards.

Communication and Collaboration:

- Work closely with business stakeholders to accurately capture training goals and objectives.

- Foster a collaborative environment that values feedback and contributions from cross-functional teams involved in business training.

Required Skills:

- Project Management: Expertise in managing complex business training projects, including the development of comprehensive project plans.

- Advanced Writing Skills: Proficiency in technical writing, with the ability to clearly communicate business concepts and processes.

- Instructional Design: Strong ability to create learning objectives and structure content that supports business performance goals.

- eLearning Authoring Tools: Advanced knowledge of Articulate Storyline, Articulate Rise, Easy Generator, Camtasia, and Vyond.

- Multimedia Design: Skilled in creating business-relevant multimedia content, with a focus on design and instructional quality.

- Learning Technology: In-depth understanding of learning technology and its application in business training environments.

- Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders and clarify business training objectives.

- Advanced Formatting Skills: Proficiency in PowerPoint, MS Word, MS OneNote, and PDF Pro.

Required Competencies:

- Business Acumen: Understanding of business processes and how training initiatives can drive business performance.

- Strategic Thinking: Ability to align sourcing strategies with the organization's business training goals.

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Instructional Design, Education, Project Management, or a related field.

- Certification in instructional design or business training development is preferred.

Required Work Experience:

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business training, instructional design, or project management.

- Proven track record in developing and implementing sourcing strategies for business training.

- Expertise in using eLearning authoring tools and multimedia design software within a business context.

- Experience working with business-specific technologies and ensuring compliance with relevant learning standards.
