Senior Manager - Portfolio Management - Investment Bank

Job specification: Has three parts in it. Hence, we need a very mature and evolved candidate in way of experience and emotional maturity.

1. Portfolio management:

- Core Portfolio management: Working on Strategic asset allocation framework to allocate capital between various asset classes for client accounts.

- Researching: stocks, bonds, commodities and various traditional and non-traditional asset classes. Assisted by analysts in this function.

- Trading: giving instructions on trades and managing best execution. Assisted by analyst in this function.

2. Client requests:

- Client management: talking to clients and their investment teams on queries and regular investment calls.

- Investment notes: Writing monthly investment notes for clients updating for change in investment positions and market updates.

3. Managing operations:

- Accountable for existing PMS (Portfolio management system): in capturing client information correctly and making sure client folios up to date and accurate. Will be assisted by dedicated staff for this function.

- External vendor engagement: Engagement with external vendors such as Banks, regulators and platform providers. Will be assisted by a team for this function.

- Management of the operations team: Managing a team of 6 analysts (2 in front office and 4 in the back office), mentoring and managing them to be a high performance team. Also to be involved in recruitment as team expands.

Years of experience : 10 years plus in Investment Management/Investment banks etc (Research, Portfolio Management or Product Specialist)

Qualifications : Bachelors and Masters in STEME (Science/Tech/Engineering/Maths/Economics), Professional qualification CA/CFA/Masters in Finance/MBA
