This is a position in the Operations Quality team of a UK based retail bank with a shared services unit in India.
About the client:
The client is a UK based lending and retail savings bank which is listed on the London Stock Exchange and also a member of the FTSE 250 index
Roles and Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities for this position are listed below-
- As a leader in the group's first line of defense, you will be responsible to oversee all level 2 quality procedures across customer channels and brands within the firm
- Ensure high quality of service to both internal and external stakeholders
- Ensure that the risk matrices and procedures are constantly updated and approved as per regulatory guidelines
- Ensure timely identification, reporting and resolution of quality issues within the group. Also ensure root cause analysis and corrective actions are tracked through to closure.
- Manage a team of 40 individuals spread across the above functions and liaise with local and onshore stakeholders
Requirements:
- Overall 12-15 years of work experience in the financial services industry
- Thorough understanding of savings and mortgage based banking products
- Prior experience in risk and control functions in an MNC banking environment
- Working knowledge of ethical standards, BCOBS, MCOBS, DISP and investigation of MPPI claims
- A proven team management and leadership track record
