Senior Manager - NPI Projects - Chennai

Our client who is a market leader in domestic appliances is looking for a Senior Manager to manage NPI projects.

Job Location : Chennai

Reporting to : General Manager - Projects - Innovation & Development.

Grade : Manager to Senior Manager

Product Category : Domestic Appliances

Nature of the role : Individual contributor

Education : Degree in Engineering (Electrical, mechanical, electronics and related field)

Technical qualification : PMP certification (Mandatory)

Relevant experience : 6-10 years of working experience least 4 years of working experience in Project Management

Industry : FMCG, White Goods, Electronics manufacturing

Objective :

- Managing NPI projects end to end (from concept to market launch).

- Gaining approvals for projects

- Defining and achieving project objectives based on cost, quality and time.

- Identifying risks and defining corrective actions.

- Ensuring project execution as per project guidelines and directives.

- Managing internal and external stake holders

- Implementing a business case for a product

- Interacting with cross-functional teams and providing input for appraisal of team

- Defines the risks of the project (f.e. specs, costs, planning, etc) and develops scenarios to overcome these risks.

- Point of Contact for all functional teams, operations, development and customer support efforts.

Technical Skills :

- Specific knowledge of technical engineering in a part of the relevant technical discipline for the application or specific functional knowledge in a part of the relevant functional discipline

- Basic knowledge of planning methods, and estimation.

- Techniques (resources, time and risks) for the relevant technical / functional discipline
