Position Name : Associate Director - New Product Development

Location : Mumbai

Experience Range : 10 years

Work Model : Work from Office

Mandatory Requirement:

- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.

- Minimum of 10 years of experience in new product development within the food industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

Job Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Leadership: Lead and inspire the new product development team to achieve strategic goals and deliver innovative food products.

2. Strategy Development: Develop and implement the product development strategy, aligned with the company's overall business objectives.

3. New Product Development: Lead and optimize new product development from concept to commercialization for export and domestic markets. Collaborate with cross-functional teams for market research and product concept creation. Manage the product life cycle, including formulation, evaluations, and production scale-up.

4. Quality Assurance and Control: Develop and implement quality plans and SOPs. Verify quality documents, conduct audits, and implement corrective actions. Review and improve monthly quality scores.

5. Process Optimization: Improve manufacturing processes, optimize equipment use, reduce waste, and enhance product consistency. Implement continuous improvement projects and validate new processes.

6. Technical Support and Training: Provide technical support and training to sales and lab teams. Conduct training sessions to ensure quality standards and product safety.

7. Regulatory Compliance and Documentation: Generate specifications and calculate nutritional values for new products. Finalize product artwork and ensure regulatory compliance. Develop quality manuals and documentation.

8. Market and Consumer Engagement: Conduct market and distributor visits for feedback. Create ideas to prevent complaints and implement corrective actions.

9. Budget Management: Oversee the budget for the new product development department, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.

10.Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team.

Qualification and Experience:


- Should have led the launch of new brands or products in his career.

- Proficiency in market research and analysis.

- Strong leadership and team management skills.
