BJECTIVE OF THE ROLE:
- Manage new business related legal and compliance matters and ensure zero non-compliance.
- Manage all financials, processes and compliance risk of department
- Drive process improvements on a continual basis.
- Budget preparation for function.
- Ensure ISO compliance for the all the function
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Weightage:
- Ensuring smooth processing of new business activities and achieving the agreed TAT and SLA with Sales.
- ETE conversions from branch- vendor-other departments-new business.
- Managing New Business helpdesk for sales & branches with quick & quality response
- Driving quality in all processing handled at NB level
- Ensure all NB activities are done within the prescribed IRDA TAT and as per the prescribed IRDA regulations
- Lead new business team of 12 members (Including 2 off roll)
- Work towards reducing per policy cost of NB processing

INTERACTIONS:
Internal Relations:
- With Sales function for conversion related matters
- Legal and Compliance Team for the L&C matters
- Marketing Team for the New Products Setup and amendments.
- Policy Servicing department for Policy servicing related matters
- Branch Operations team for many common areas and regular interaction on customer and sales queries / issues
- CPC Project Team and IT Project team for all the projects undertaken
- Actuarial Team for the consents letter issuance & related queries, Month end closing and policy conversion related communication
- Accounts team for the various pay-outs and various Taxes related matters
- IT supports team for the system level issues / bugs faced
- Customer Service team for all customer related communication and issues raised at the call centre team
- Actuary Team for the Product related queries and F&U queries
- PERM team for the new Processes release, amendment in current processes and various audits
External Relations:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS:
Educational Qualifications - Graduate / MBA
Work Experience:
- 6-8 years + work experience
- Experience in an Operations / Team Handling
Certifications:
Other skill set:
- Knowledge of operations processes and system
- Rules and Regulation required in life insurance industry
- Handling outsourced vendors.
Soft Skills:
- Communication and team-building skills
- Customer orientation
- Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization
