Education Requirement:
- Chartered Accountant with a minimum of 4-5 years of relevant experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Scheme Accounting & MIS: Oversee scheme accounting and manage all related MIS.
- Conduct regular reviews of trial balances and ensure accurate financial reporting for schemes, including half-yearly, annual, and abridged statements.
- Expense Control: Monitor and control scheme expenses, analyzing and reviewing various MIS reports related to expenditures.
- Distributable Surplus: Analyze and review schemes' distributable surplus, updating and communicating changes to management as needed.
- NAV & Returns: Review and ensure accuracy of NAV calculations and scheme returns.
- Security Valuation: Maintain strong control over security valuation impacting schemes.
- Audit Liaison: Coordinate with Statutory Auditors, Internal Auditors, and SEBI Auditors to facilitate smooth and timely completion of audits.
- Project Implementation: Lead and support the implementation of new projects and regulatory or business-driven changes.
- System Development: Assist in developing new systems and supporting new initiatives.
- Benchmarking: Benchmark industry practices and implement best practices for fund accounting.
- Risk Management: Identify and address risks, implementing effective controls for various processes.
- Process Documentation: Regularly review and update process manuals and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Regulatory Knowledge: Stay updated on SEBI mutual fund regulations and implement new regulations affecting fund accounting.
Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies:
Knowledge:
- Expertise in NAV calculations, fund accounting, and fund expenses.
- Understanding of securities valuation.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and Bloomberg.
