Role for Senior Manager-MIS

Principle Accountabilities :

- Develop and implement standardized MIS procedures across all business (EB, IB & JLTI)

- Review of SLA's and Recovery plans

- Centralised Resource Tracking and MPR process

- Capacity and HC Review

- Support, Train and mentor Managers across sites on use of MI

- Coordinate with on and off shore Finance teams for production of compressive MI (Operations and Finance)

- Drawing Operational Insights and provide regular update on the operational areas to Operations and CRM

- Contribute to strategy and implementation of workflow and time accounting system

- Involvement in achieving longer term strategic objectives for the business

- Develop and maintain broad knowledge of company- s- business and requirement around

- Develop process improvements for increased efficiency through automation.

- Delivering to the customer/client To know the purpose of existence of the team and to be able to deliver to the client on time, to the right quality and keep every promise that is made. To be able to honor the commitments made to internal stakeholders at all times.

- Stakeholder Management - Stakeholders / operating companies: deliver value in every sphere of interaction with the stakeholders.

- Will be required to provide stakeholders with a value add experience by partnering on operational decisions. Initiate and influence expectation setting discussion with operating companies.

People Management - Build, develop and retain capabilities within the team to achieve the stated goals

- Create processes around effective knowledge management within the team to ensure a culture of continuous learning and self-development.

Planning- Develop and maintain effective Planning Tools for the operational teams.

Operating Environment-JLT India is a wholly owned subsidiary of Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group (JLT). The JLT group has two main lines of business Employee Benefits and Insurance Broking and has its presence through owned companies in over 36 countries and through a network, its presence is in over 100 countries.

JLTI MIS team has been set up as a centralized team to deliver quality and efficient Management information and operational insights to various operating companies of the group across the globe.

The MIS team serves primarily to Employee Benefits and Insurance Broking team within JLTI. The sub functions under such teams are then managed by Senior Managers.

Relationships :

Subordinates - Day to day interaction with SDRs to provide advice on exceptions :

- Weekly interactions with Drs to review BAU

- Monthly interactions with all team members to review BAU & performance

Superiors - Day to Day interaction with reporting authorities to provide update on progress :

- Fortnightly interaction with the Directors/Head for updates on projects and objectives

Others Within the company :

- Collaborate with Management team of each business units to identify improvement opportunities and manage escalation

- Participate and proactively contribute to new project related initiatives as member of MIS team

- To have regular interaction with relevant support teams, example, IT and HR

Within the company:

Person Specifications

Education: Graduate

Desirable: PG / MBA

Work Qualifications

LEAN / Six Sigma / KAIZEN

Experience: 10 - 12 years of experience in operations in financial services/ ITES or off shore processing organizations with proven track record in service delivery.

Desirable:

- Should have managed teams of over 80 people.

- Transition / migration experience of large processes

Knowledge: fundamentals of operations management, quality tools, MIS tools

Desirable: understanding of insurance and financial services sectors
