Purpose of the Position (Job Summary):
- As the Marketing professional, candidate will be responsible for overseeing brand management activities and providing valuable market insights to drive strategic decision-making.
- He/She will play a pivotal role in developing and executing brand strategies, conducting market research, and analyzing data to understand consumer behavior and market trends. His/Her expertise in branding and market analysis will be essential in shaping the brand & positioning, messaging, and overall market competitiveness.
Technical & Behavioral Skills & Knowledge Behavioral:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities, with experience in leading and motivating teams to achieve business objectives.
Functional:
- Strong understanding of branding principles, marketing strategies, and consumer behavior.
- Excellent Orator, Good Written Communication Skills.
- Proficiency in using market research tools and software, as well as data analysis and visualization tools.
- Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop innovative and effective brand strategies.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data, draw actionable insights, and present findings to stakeholders.
Technical:
- Education - Bachelors OR Masters in Marketing
- Experience - Minimum 10 years' experience in Marketing (Candidates with Brand Building/Digital Marketing/Brand Communication
- Experience Industry- Premium Consumer Brand in B2C Segment will be Preferred)
- Familiarity with digital marketing, social media trends, and emerging technologies in the field of branding and market research.
- Agency Side SEO, SEM Experience in Early Career.
- Knowledge of Web Analytics Tools.
- Experience of Product Sales / Product Management.
Key Individual Accountabilities:
Strategic:
- Brand strategy development: Develop and execute comprehensive brand strategies aligned with the organization's goals and target audience. Define brand positioning, values, and key messages to differentiate the brand from competitors and enhance brand equity.
- Brand management: Oversee all aspects of brand management, including brand guidelines, visual identity, messaging, and consistencies across all marketing channels and touch points.
- Ensure brand adherence in advertising campaigns, website, social media, packaging, and other communication materials.
Financial:
- Budget management: Develop and manage the brand budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to support brand initiatives, market research activities, and ongoing monitoring and analysis.
Customer/ External Orientation
- Brand performance measurement: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and evaluate the effectiveness of brand initiatives. Develop measurement frameworks and reporting systems to assess brand performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Competitive analysis: Monitor and evaluate competitors brand strategies, positioning, and marketing initiatives. Identify gaps and opportunities in the market and develop strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
- Market intelligence: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and market dynamics that may impact the brand. Provide regular reports and presentations to senior management on market insights, competitive landscape, and industry best practices.
- Consumer behavior analysis: Analyze consumer behavior, preferences, and purchasing patterns to understand target audience segments. Identify their needs, motivations, and pain points to inform brand strategies, product development, and marketing campaigns.
People Orientation:
- Team leadership and development: Lead and inspire a team of brand professionals, market researchers, and analysts. Provide guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to enhance team performance and capabilities. opportunities to enhance team performance and capabilities.
- Collaboration and stakeholder management: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, sales, and finance, to align brand strategies with business objectives.
