There is an opening with a leading broadcasting company for the position of Sr. Manager- Marketing
Key Responsibilities :
- Working with the VP, Marketing & Programming and Brand team as key stakeholder, use local expertise and unrivalled local contacts to launch, embed and grow the channel in India.
- Think holistically about the new brand (trade and consumer) in India, develop innovative ideas to bring the channel brand.
- Deliver all branding and marketing to adhere to brand, editorial and digital guidelines.
- Manage clients and channel presence at local promotional events and initiatives, attending in person where necessary.
- Drive the marketing strategy, evaluate competition and ensure on quality, originality and local relevance.
- Oversee creativity in campaign development ensuring local relevance and correct tone for target audience and brand.
- Work with Research to understand audience segmentation pertaining to India factoring into all marketing planning and decisions.
- Collaborate closely and drive initiatives with PR and Social Media/Digital agencies
Strategic Planning & Decision Making :
- Work with Research to build audience insight to inform business and marketing decisions.
- Lead on marketing planning and media plan alongside marketing budget planning.
Knowledge & Skills :
- Proven ability to think clearly and act decisively, operate independently but work with a large team of people, many of whom will have more knowledge and experience in a particular part of the business
- Experience of handling launches of brands with complete 360 degree marketing
- Strong financial and brand skills
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Well-developed communication and negotiation skills and the ability to represent the business at the highest levels
- Good understanding of the English Infotainment space will be preferable
- Deep understanding of current trends and audiences in the media space will be preferable
- Core set of personal values, which ensures integrity and the desire to lead by example
- Ability to work effectively at both strategic and operational levels
Education :
A Master's in Business Administration with specialization in Marketing would be preferred
Professional Experience :
- Candidate should have at least 8-10 years of post-qualification experience in a Marketing role, with at least 4 to 5 years of experience in a team handling role.
- A background of working with powerful brands or brand properties and for balancing commercial interests and consumer requirements
- Extensive experience of assessing creative and media plans.
