Sr Manager/Manager-Strategy-Real Estate
A large Indian conglomerate is looking for a Sr Manager/Manager-Strategy-Real Estate
Location - Mumbai (Head Office)
Department - GEO (Group Executive Office)
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand the development life cycle of assets in the Real Estate/warehousing sector and the value drivers that are important for each stage of the project
- Good understanding of the asset classes in the sector such as residential, commercial, retail, hospitality. Good understanding of various nature of projects such as self-development, re development, joint development, slum rehabilitation projects
- Also assist in sectors such as Oil & Gas, water, etc.
- Analyze entry into new business sectors (other than Real estate)
- Analyze projects in the sector and identify value accretive projects. Prepare the business case, financial models and valuation analysis for the assets
- Managing intermediary relationships to tap new business opportunities
- Work closely with advisors across a variety of areas related to business setup and stabilization
- Project management of a few projects. Also, understanding of approval cycles in the sector
- Identification of potential risks along with their impacts on the projects and highlighting it to senior management team
- Liaising with internal / external legal & technical experts for getting the due diligence and execution of transaction documents to achieve deal closure
- Tracking trends in the industry, analysis of competition
- Ensuring follow-ups and progress on various ongoing projects, etc. and project deliverables to ensure adherence to the budget requirements and timeframes
Key selection criteria:
- Ability to prepare business case, financial modelling skills and valuation analysis across sectors
- Role will be real estate/warehousing plus working on new business sectors
- Think holistically across different dimensions of the sector
- Self-motivated and ability to think through ambiguous situation
