Purpose of the position:
We are seeking a highly motivated and driven individual to join our team as an FTL (Full Truckload) Sales Representative. In this role, you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, building strong relationships with clients, and meeting sales targets within the FTL logistics industry. The ideal candidate has experience in sales, a proven track record of success, and a deep understanding of the transportation industry.
Key Role & Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a portfolio of clients by actively seeking and pursuing new business opportunities within the FTL market.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring their ongoing satisfaction and customer loyalty.
- Identify potential customers and conduct thorough market research to understand their needs, preferences, and logistics requirements.
- Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations and proposals to key decision-makers, highlighting the unique value propositions of our FTL services.
- Negotiate pricing and contractual terms with clients to secure profitable business deals and maximize revenue generation.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, including operations and customer service, to ensure smooth execution of client contracts and exceptional service delivery.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to effectively position our services and capitalize on new opportunities.
- Meet or exceed sales targets, consistently striving for excellence and continuous improvement.
What we are looking for?
- 7+ years of Proven sales experience in the transportation or logistics industry, with a focus on FTL services.
- Strong knowledge of FTL operations, pricing models, and industry regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish long-lasting relationships with clients.
- Exceptional negotiation and persuasion skills, with a track record of closing successful sales deals.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating self-motivation and a results-oriented mindset.
- Proficiency in using CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other sales tools/software.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings, industry events, and trade shows as required.
