Job Title : Retail Ops Manager (Would Prefer from a Footwear Category)
Job Purpose
- To ensure the delivery of operational KPIs and sales & profitability plan across stores.
- Drive sales and profitability across the chain by developing a store specific music sheet and executing the same through the store team.
I spend
- 40% of my time preparing improvement plans for individual stores.
- 20% of my time analyzing data which has an impact on store performance.
- 20% of my time coaching store managers and store staff on performance improvement.
- 20% of my time working with other functions in the tail office to deliver value to the stores.
I know I have done a great job if :
- The stores meet\exceed their monthly, quarterly, half yearly & yearly targets.
- The stores consistently achieve excellent mystery consumer audit scores.
- Most of my store managers are considered - stars- on the basis of their consistent performance.
- I have a pipeline of talent waiting to fill up managerial roles in stores.
- The staff at the stores are great representatives of the brand.

What is that I need to do :
Retail Strategy, Brand Presence & Business Plan
- Formulate retail operating plan with budgetary controls.
- Ensure standardization across stores and brand essence.
- To identify underperforming stores and develop a business plan to address and manage issues effectively.
- Drive various R&R programs for the store - design, develop, validate and change.
Sales Operations & Profitability
- Effectively manage and review P&L of all the stores to optimize store profitability and standards.
- To ensure that all stores adhere to compliance requirements in all areas of operational activity, brand standards, company policies and procedures.
- Monitor, review and ensure all KPIs of the store manager are met on on-going basis.
People Development
- Optimize hiring of manpower in line with the business plan and stores roll out.
- Coach store managers to seek and continuously develop knowledge of competitor activity and local market conditions on enhancing store profitability.
- Mentor store managers\FCs on driving high profitability and standards - with special focus on the non or low performing stores.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and a best practices (internal and external) get replicated across stores.
- Create talent pipeline for managerial roles in stores.

Minimum 8 years of experience of handling multiple store in premium\luxury segment with
- Ability to manage and develop a positive and productive Store teams.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to drive and motivate performance through effective coaching skills.
- Demonstrate strong business understanding with flair for fashion retailing.
- Self-starter.
- Exceptional communicator and good at interpersonal skills.
