Reporting to: Registrar
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide Strategic Vision for University to define medium and long-term Human Resource direction and priorities. Build a dynamic and forward-looking approach to the University's HR capability development with strong intellectual leadership, understanding and harnessing the University's comprehensive subject range, in the context of a best HR practices
- Carry out assessment of manpower requirements in various Academic/Administrative categories and take necessary steps for advertisement and recruitment in accordance with the rules
- Devise HR strategies aligned to University vision and mission
- Establish HR roadmap aligned to HR strategies
- Play key role in facilitating the change across organization
- Advice and guide management on strategic alignment require with the growth of University.
- Establish framework which is sustainable, scalable in all areas of HR function
- Designing and executing all the HR policies and procedures of the University.
- Focus on employee capability building through - Conducting the training need analysis & Non-
- Teaching staff members.
- Create HR dashboard showcasing HR performance to management on monthly basis
- Design employee engagement activities.
- Design HR manual and employee handbook.
- Develop through induction and ensure each new joinee is gone through the induction process.
- Develop result-oriented Performance Management System (Yearly appraisal and competency mapping at each level).
- Participate and take responsibility during social initiative programs
- Compensation & Benefit Management
- Personnel Management: staff recruitment, staff allocation etc.
- Compliance of all statutory requirements of Institute and maintaining the relevant records
- Compliance of all legal obligations, good networking with local community and maintaining the relevant records.
- Create activities around employee engagement and career progression
- Conducting HR Audit of all HR processes periodically.
- Develop various incentive schemes for the employees and employee welfare schemes
- Statutory & Regulatory Compliances Management
- Any other works assigned by Registrar from time to time.
- Collaborations: Be employee advocate & champion within all the institutions under the umbrella of University. Represent University on professional bodies of repute helpful in further branding university
Minimum Qualification & Experience:
- Master's degree with at least 55% of the marks as per UGC Norms.
- 8 plus years of experience in Human Resource, preferable from education sector
- Communication & Working Relationship
Internal: School/Faculty Academic Lead, University Leadership, Programme Chairs, Faculty Members, Students, Non-Academic Lead
External: Government Agencies, Corporate bodies, Professional academic networks and societies Accreditation bodies
