Title : Senior Manager - IT Maintenance & Support
Reports to : Director - IT Application Services
Span of Control : 4 to 6 DRs and team of 40 to 50 FTEs

Financial Impact :
- Has responsibility for cost/budget management of a division/sub function or functional budget of a small organization. Accountable for achieving operational efficiency in a sub function
Key Role :
Delivery :
- Manage projects (BaU) and transitions as per an agreed plan (which he/she will help build) to a high level of quality and stakeholder satisfaction
Solutioning :
- Study current structure (as-is) of applications (team, complexity, client needs, off-shorability etc.) and propose a to-be model and plan (team structure, schedule, skills, training, etc.) which is cost efficient. Help in negotiating buy-in from the stakeholders on the plan
- Build the team (recruiting the right skills) as per a plan to ensure delivery.
- Identifying current training needs of the team, and help come up with future skill gaps, and creating a plan for implementation.
- Set expectations on performance for the team, relay difficult feedback as required, and create an environment of continuous improvement in performance amongst the team.
- Resolve team conflicts to ensure deliveries
- Help build an engagement plan and achieve it
Competency Development :
- Ensure cross skilling within and across the teams to ensure risk of person dependency
- Create knowledge culture and forging knowledge management best practices across the teams
Client Relationship :
- Build a rapport with stakeholders to ensure transparency and regular flow of information for better client deliveries
- Build and manage effective client relationship to foster JLT India's credibility and ensure we are in a position to influence decisions
Compliance and Risk Management :
- Plan and adopt compliance to agreed standards/methodologies/frameworks of delivery (examples CMMi, ISO etc.)
- Aggressively manage business risks (data, code, practices, etc.)
Our Client is a global technology support provider to the Group and is Headed by the Global CIO.
India IT Application Team is a support team which works with the India Management & the Global Management Team and provides technology services across 4 practices - Application Development, Managed Services, Testing Services and COTS/Cloud/Mobile Development. The role of the Sr Manager manages teams (Application development, managed services, testing services, COTS/Clod) to ensure deliveries in line with the role.
Educational Qualifications :
Essential: BE, MCA
Desirable: MBA
