Senior Manager - IT
Your role:
- Responsible for providing infrastructure systems management support, data connectivity, desktop/helpdesk management and user support to the employees.
- Introduce new processes and software to ensure optimal use of technology.
- Manage Desk side support and coordinate with the other departments to guarantee its success.
- To provide better IT support to ensure the effectiveness of creative workflows.
- Responsible for ISMS audit.
- Work on strategy, design, and integration of computing systems and Infrastructure components in line with DK global technology strategy and PRH UK technology governance guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
IT Infrastructure:
- Developing, maintaining, supporting and optimising network, server and backup infrastructure.
- Responsible for maintenance of inventory of Hardware and software, recording the assets allocation and getting the physical audits done.
- Implement Preventive Maintenance for all IT hardware & Software for clients.
- Evaluate and/or recommend purchases of computers, network hardware, peripheral equipment and software
- Perform and/or oversee software and application development, installation and upgrades
- Plan and implement network security, including building firewalls.
- Monitors and manages system resources, including CPU usage, disk usage, and response times to maintain operating efficiency
- Maintains system documentation and logs.
- Performs or assists in troubleshooting and diagnosing production problems; corrects identified problems
- Provide monitoring and primary response and intervention for information technology-related security incidents and violations.
- Keep current with new Information Technology Security protocols, applicable laws and regulations.
- Research, develop and adapt any ideas, processes and applications that bring IT services to higher level keep abreast of new and emerging technologies and their impact on operations.
- Ensure that the ERP system functions without any issues and under ITGC compliance guidelines.
- Assess the best solution for the Cloud roadmap keeping in mind India's infrastructure and compliance requirements and maximizing the benefits from the investment done by DK.
- Represent technology on global rollouts and creative projects and continue to adapt so that the ever-changing requirements of hybrid working are met.
Helpdesk/ User Support:
- Responsible for the successful running of IT Helpdesk and ensuring that service levels are maintained and agreed reporting produced.
- Responsibility of Service Desk issue communications and the implementation of change management initiatives as required.
- Logging and maintaining tickets and issues against the UK PRH helpdesk
- Oversee all help desk activities and administration/maintenance of office computers & other related equipment.
- Respond to escalated help desk issues and ensure that all IT-related issues are resolved in a timely manner.
- Serve as a main point of contact on all IT-related matters
- Provide better IT support, which helps the users to ease their work.
- Recommend solutions and opportunity areas for efficient user support and best practices.
- Plan resources efficiently to meet all requirements day to day including special projects.
- To work closely with business and provide solution after discussing with local and global technology team.
- Responsible for Google application estate educating new employees and encouraging the use of its tools.
Budgeting, Reports and Policies:
- Provide reports on help desk activities, performance and operational issues to the Head of the Department.
- Data Security, IT security policy implementation, network optimization etc.
- Support management by supplying relevant IT-related quality information & report to the company in a timely manner.
- Proper maintenance of all documentation, records and reports as per the policies and guidelines.
- Responsible for Software audit and compliances, rollout and upgrade.
- Responsible for procurement of all hardware and software as per the global purchase policy and as per approved budgets. Ensuring good governance as per global policy is in place and adhered to for local vendors.
- Preparation of annual technology budgets/reforecasts and tracking it on a monthly basis.
- Setting up policies and procedures in place to comply with Bertelsmann security protocols and guidelines. Coordinating with Global Security Officer to ensure required documentation and registers are maintained.
- Responsible for accurate inventory records and other related documentation to ensure effective controls.
People Development:
- Responsible for leadership, mentoring, and training of the IT staff to drive process excellence.
- Develop, mentor and guide the IT team to meet required standards.
