Sr.Manager Investments(Trading & Portfolio Analysis)

1. JOB PURPOSE:

1. Efficient dealing of equities & fixed income securities.

2. Preparing board presentations & Investment Reports on basis of data provided by MIS team.

3. Providing/oversee analysis and reports of portfolios

4. Provide quantitative support for analysis of various companies & market data analysis (Listed and Unlisted).

3. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Accountabilities Major Activities % of Time:

- Dealing in purchase & sale of Fixed income securities & Equities - Dealing in fixed income securities for BHIL, BFS, BAL & BAL-PF Trust and Equities of BHIL.

- Ensuring best possible pricing while trading in scrips

- Efficiently managing Fixed Income & equity trades simultaneously.

- Tracking markets, trading, liquidity, macro updates, economic updates to determine scrip pricing.

- Analyzing credits for gauging their pricing.

- Understanding correlation between markets & various credits.

- Tracking demand & supply of various issuers/credits.

- Tracking upcoming issuances.

- Interacting with brokers on regular basis & noting down their area of expertise in the market segments/tenors.

- Studying trends of market prices & yield curves

- Tracking market events, monetary policies & its impacts on dealing/pricing

- Analyzing price charts & technical indicators before placing trades

- Adhering timelines while trading/dealing 50%

- Preparing Investment report & board meeting presentations.

- Preparing focused / informative tables & charts for Monthly Investment Report & Quarterly Board Meeting presentations by referring data provided my MIS team.

- Adhering timelines for circulating the information. 20%

- Providing analysis of portfolio and reports

- Prepare and oversee analytical reports on returns/attribution/allocation/market value/cost/trades/broker allocations etc.

MONTHLY/QUARTERLY 15%:

- Provide support for Quantitative analysis of market data & financials of various investee companies.

- Collate data of companies, their financial ratios & their cash flows. Peer comparison

- Analyzing revenue trends & other financial info from company MD&A, AGM resolutions, voting pattern

- Data screening and analysis from databases

SEMI ANNUAL/ANNUAL 15%:

4. MAJOR CHALLENGES: Efficient time management when multiple trades are going on simultaneously in equity & fixed income.

5. DECISIONS:

- Decisions made by job holder

- Placing the trades during the day after analyzing the demand/supply, market depth & price trend to achieve best possible pricing & execution.

- Recommendations to or approval by superior

- Executing equity trades as per instructions of CIO & taking pre-approval before revising any instruction if required.

- Taking approval from fixed income fund manager before choosing a scrip (i.e. coupon series, maturities within approved tenor) of an approved issuer.

- Interacting with Mid office & Back office teams to align them for upcoming trades and portfolio analysis

7. DIMENSIONS:

Financial Dimensions:

- Average trades done while dealing (Sale & Purchase)

- Fixed Income - upto 500 Crore per month (BHIL, BFS, BAL & BAL-PF Trust)

- Equities - upto 200 Crore per month

8. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

Educational Qualifications:

- CA / MBA

Functional Skills:

- Carrying behavioral analysis of brokers / counterparties & using those inputs for day to day trading / dealing.

- Understanding the market trends & acting accordingly while dealing

- Understanding of Financial market correlations.

- Data Analysis & Interpretation.

- Strong hold on analytical tools/charts/graphs embedded in MS Excel & MS PPT

Relevant and total years of Experience:

- 7-9 years of experience in Financial industry with 4-5 years in financial markets in mid office
