Description - Lead the establishment and execution of comprehensive IR/HR strategies for a greenfield manufacturing plant based out of Nashik, Maharashtra.

The company is a leading recycler of post-consumer plastic (PET and Polyolefins) waste, headquartered in Mumbai, India since nearly two decades. They collect, sort and recycle over a billion bottles annually supporting nearly 20,000 livelihoods on a daily basis.

They produce high quality recycled plastic (PET and Polyolefin) flakes and granules serving a variety of quality sensitive industries. This helps achieve maximum value for the plastic waste collected, fostering circularity, and benefiting the entire value chain.

Description:

Duties and Accountabilities:

Industrial Relations:

- Develop and implement effective industrial relations strategies, policies, and practices for the greenfield manufacturing plant.

- Foster a positive work environment by promoting open communication, conflict resolution, and employee engagement.


- Liaise with relevant government agencies, departments and other external stakeholders to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.


- Manage grievance handling and disciplinary procedures in a fair and transparent manner.


- Monitor and analyze labor market trends, industry benchmarks, and best practices to make recommendations for continuous improvement.


HR Strategy and Planning:

- Collaborate with senior management to align HR strategies with overall business objectives for the new plant.

- Develop and execute HR plans, programs, and initiatives that support organizational growth and talent retention.


Talent Acquisition and Management:

- Lead the recruitment process for the greenfield plant, including workforce planning, sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding of new employees.

- Implement effective performance management systems and processes to drive employee development and productivity.


- Develop and maintain a robust succession planning framework to ensure continuity of key roles.


Training and Development:

- Identify training needs, design and implement training programs to enhance employee skills, knowledge, and capabilities.

- Foster a culture of continuous learning and development to support employee career growth.


Compensation and Benefits:

- Oversee the design, implementation, and administration of competitive compensation and benefits programs.
- Conduct regular market surveys and bench-marking exercises to ensure the organization remains competitive in terms of total rewards.

Compliance and Legal:

- Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws, regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Stay updated on changes in labor legislation and make necessary adjustments to policies and practices.

Profile:

A successful candidate should have the following:

(i) Experience in managing end-to-end IR processes, crafting IR policies, overseeing local engagement, leading CSR initiatives, ensuring statutory compliance in the Nashik belt, and fostering relationships with government officials.

(ii) Proficient in IR and adept at conflict resolution within plant sites,with a track record of effectively handling issues with locals/blue-collar workers.

(iii) Strong proficiency in the local language-(Marathi)

(iv) Proficiency in Talent Acquisition (TA) & Compensation & Benefits (C&B) is good to have.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree and relevant certifications preferred.

- 8-10 years of experience in HR and IR roles, with a focus on manufacturing or industrial settings.


- Proven experience in successfully setting up HR and IR functions in greenfield projects is a plus.


- Strong knowledge of local labor laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.


- Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.


- Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities.


- Understanding and fluency in English, Hindi and Marathi is preferred.
