Senior Manager - Implementation - Digital Domain - Insurance

The Sr. Manager, Implementation plays a key role in Digital ecosystem wherein their knowledge about digital application(s), integration services, development life cycle and project management skills will help them deliver scalable and well-designed solutions for the customer(s).

This role demands continuous monitoring of new developments in digital marketing space and proactively make recommendations for implementation of new solutions and best practices. Person should have technical background along with development experience, for implementation of a product as a service or even for leading a development team

The person is expected to work closely with multiple stakeholders with in the company from functions like Information Technology, Products, Marketing, Operation etc . In addition to this, person has to lead implementation and adoption efforts throughout the planning and development phases of digital products.

Key Responsibilities:

- Project Management/ Stakeholder Management / Vendor Management

- Work as a project manager to manage key digital projects which are customer facing i.e. Website and Online products/platform etc . As part of this role, project manager is responsible for:

- Analyzing business requirements and ensuring that there is no or minimal deviation from signed off documents

- Manage development or service related vendors for solutions that come under the Digital ecosystem

- Ensure that the change management processes is followed from requirement signoff, Business Case Approval to technical documentation, Development, Testing and Go Live signoff. All commercial signoff and payments will have to be managed

- Should know how to assess time & cost estimates basis the technical delivery to be made and agree to delivery timelines shared by development vendor(s)

- Should be able to manage stakeholders and establish seamless communication for smooth, timely and cost-effective implementations.

- Manage/ guide team members

- Creation of monthly updates for digital function

- Weekly, Fortnightly and Monthly project updates to be sent to all stakeholders

- Steering Committee meeting to be conducted as per plan

- Qualitative Assessment/Solution Design

- Should proactively assess the system/process requirements for digital function and design solution or recommend systems that should be implemented

- Will have to participate with the development vendor at the design phase to architect the system and should be able to review the technical delivery made by the vendor

- Ensure audit readiness for online applications i.e. should follow processes to have the applications inspected on periodic basis i.e. VAPT, Code Review etc

Application Management

- Ongoing support for Issues/SR/CR for application within the scope of digital function

- Various data analysis to improve existing systems or recommend new solutions

Job Specifications:

- Design overall architecture of the web application

- Maintain quality and ensure responsiveness of applications

- Collaborate with the rest of the engineering team to design and launch new features

- Experience of working with graphic designers (UI/UX)

- Understanding and implementation of security and data protection

- Working Knowledge on HTML 5, CSS3, Javascript, JQUERY, Foundation Framework

Implementation experience with:

a. Back-end programming languages {{Ex: PHP, Python, Ruby, Java, .NET, JavaScript etc.}}

b. Databases like Mysql, mongo DB etc.

c. Integration Services like XML, CSV, JSON, YAML and Jenkins

d. Development of both mobile and desktop applications

- Understanding of server-side languages including such-as Jade, EJS, Jinja, etc. and cloud message APIs and usage of push notifications

- Knowledge of code versioning tools such as GIT, Mercurial or SVN.

- Delivery experience of reporting, Tracking and analytics. Should be able to incorporate Google Analytics or equivalent solution for reporting purposes

Key Skills/Competencies/Education:

- Good written and verbal English communication skills

- B-Tech or Equivalent

- MBA from a good business school

Work Experience :

- 10-14 Years of implementation experience

- Insurance industry experience in the Digital domain will be an added advantage
