Objective of the role - To Lead the HR Service Delivery for the Hyderabad SDO. The role involves taking the HR strategy to execution, contribute to its design for the SDO and enable various initiatives for the same. The role involves advising business stakeholders in the capacity of a Lead on people aspects of engagement and retention. The role also entails ensuring noiseless delivery on the field HR side
Skills/competencies needed:
Functionally:
- Should understand People Strategy and can contribute creatively towards it (should have played some role in their previous experience towards this);
- Someone who is a quick learner and can pick up nuances on the business well (such as the ability to understand how a health deal/business can be different from a pharma deal/business etc);
- Knows HR functional stuff in practice - example if there is an attrition problem, how has the person solved it well in his/her previous experiences;
- Functional knowledge wise strong on basics and fundamental of Human Resources domain in terms of processes, policies etc;
- Be able to work effectively with other CEOs in a matrix relationship and contribute constructively (example Total Rewards, Learning etc)
- Also be able to work with impact and gravitas with business stakeholders and teams
- Should have exposure of HR best practices to an extent so that the person can bring in a fresh perspective.
Behaviorally:
- Ability to work successfully with senior stakeholders/leadership, to be able to hold one's ground in their presence;
- Need someone who is assertive (and not aggressive) in his/her work approach;-
- Understands that while hierarchy may be important, expressing one's own constructive point of view is important, shouldn- t let hierarchy get precedence over work;
- Can be from any industry but should have managed HRBP kind of roles (preferred if those are complex and in a matrix environment);
- Should have worked in a matrix structure with a number of stakeholders;
- Personality should be able to inspire our HR team - so that they look upto the person and hence manage the team well;
- Should display the maturity to navigate through complex situations and not get hassled
