Category Managers have end to end responsibility of the customer experience and growth of the categories.

The Category manager's role is to bring in the relevant assortment, design targeted promotions, and manage partners including sellers and brands. Category managers anticipate customer needs and incorporate them into the functional road map and will drive a major change or enhancement for customer experience influencing category needs based on their knowledge of competitive trends in the marketplace and other macro environment data.
The successful candidate for this high impact role will be a self-starter with a passion for independent, creative problem-solving, have proven data analysis skills, demonstrate great - voice- and content creation chops (i.e. strong writing skills), show strong ownership and commitment, have proven leadership experience in managing projects, and bring relevant insights in marketing and merchandising.
Responsibilities Include
The successful candidate will be the business owner, with responsibility for signing the right mix of selection in partnership with sellers, adding unique local selection, driving conversion and margin improvements while delivering top notch customer experience. He/she must be an effective leader and communicator working with our most important partners, as well as with internal colleagues and groups. He or she will have strong business judgment with a track record of strong ownership values and relationship management skills.
Basic Qualification and Skills Required
- An understanding of and passion for e-commerce
- Work experience is preferred (4-8 years). Having experience in beauty and personal care would be preferred but not a mandatory requirement
- Experience in category management or buying of women oriented product categories
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven negotiation skills, influencing abilities
- Strong numerical and analytical aptitude
- Ability to think and react in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
- Smart, enthusiastic, hard-working, and creative.
- Innovative, teams oriented, and has a desire to participate in change and appreciate a dynamic environment with rapidly changing priorities.
- Experience in project ownership and using customer data to identify and prioritize opportunities.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
MBA is preferred
Experience in Consumer-facing sectors such as Retail, FMCG is preferred.
Experience: 4-8 Years
Budget: 18-30 LPA.
