Senior Manager - Fundamental Review of Trading Book

The Project Manager for Fundamental Review of Trading Book (FRTB) Senior Manager is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the Fundamental Review of Trading Book project within the organization. They will work closely with stakeholders from various departments to ensure compliance with FRTB regulations and implementation of necessary changes to trading book practices.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement a project plan for the organization's compliance with the Fundamental Review of Trading Book regulations.

- Coordinate with relevant departments, such as risk management, trading, and operations, to gather necessary data and information for FRTB compliance.

- Assess the organization's current trading book practices and identify areas for improvement or adjustment to meet FRTB requirements.

- Develop strategies and action plans to implement necessary changes to trading book practices and ensure compliance with FRTB regulations.

- Monitor and evaluate the progress of the FRTB project, ensuring milestones are met and any issues or delays are addressed.

- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, such as regulators and auditors, to provide necessary documentation and support during FRTB inspections.

- Train and educate employees on FRTB regulations and changes to trading book practices.

- Familiarity with relevant regulatory bodies and their requirements, such as the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision.

- Strong understanding of financial markets and trading book practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Master's degree in finance, economics, or a related field.

- Professional certifications such as FRM (Financial Risk Manager) or CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst).

- Experience in leading FRTB implementation projects within a financial institution.

- Experience in collaborating with regulatory authorities and participating in industry working groups related to FRTB.

- Knowledge of international FRTB requirements and guidelines.
