Following are the responsibilities :
- Collating, preparing and interpreting reports, budgets, accounts, commentaries and financial statements
- Maintaining and Managing Accounting books, schedules and MIS undertaking strategic analysis and assisting with strategic planning producing short-term and long-term business plans undertaking research into pricing, competitors and factors affecting performance controlling income, cash flow, expenditure and book keeping managing budgets, payroll
- Implementation and maintenance of PF, ITR and other statutory compliance processes developing and managing financial systems/models carrying out business modelling and risk assessments supervising staff
- Liaising with managerial staff and other colleagues.
- Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
- Manage outsourced functions and relationships with CA and CS firms
- Ensure that sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational and capital investment requirements
- Use hedging to mitigate financial risks related to the interest rates on the company's borrowings
- Maintain banking, insurance and other benefits relationships
- Assist in determining the company's proper capital structure and inculcating financial discipline
- Arrange for equity and debt financing using banking and other relationships
- Engage in ongoing cost reduction analyses in all areas of the company
- Review the performance of competitors and report on key issues to management
- Manage the preparation of the company's budget
Work experience requirements :
- The candidate should have a Masters degree in finance or accounting, and equivalent business experience and 4 - 10 years of progressively responsible experience for a major company or division of a large corporation.
- Excellent communication skills are essential, particularly in regard to presenting the results of analyses to management.
