Senior Manager - Finance - Co-Living Startup

This disruptive startup was founded in the Singapore over a year ago by 2 veterans of the real estate & Hospitality domain who collectively have more than 2 decades of experience and have worked with brands like JLL, KPMG, EY, Marriot etc.

The company has been backed by marquee VCs including 500 Startups and is on track to a series A funding. They cater to the top end of the student living market and already offer premium student housing facilities for top universities in Asia including National University of Singapore, Singapore Management University, and INSEAD Business School.

As Sr. Manager - Finance, you will drive the financial reporting, planning and control function for the organisation.

What you will do:

- Managing all activities related to finance & accounts including financial reporting, costing, cash flow management, budgeting and monthly MIS.

- Implementing and enforcing financial and commercial accountabilities, controls, processes and systems.

- Monitoring timely receivables and payables and supporting other teams.

- Optimizing tax/compliances structure at company level and function level.

- Maintaining healthy relationship with internal and external stakeholders.

- Supporting any strategic initiatives / projects for the organization.

- Planning, coordinating and executing annual financial audit

- Analyzing the effect of statutory accounting practices and studies, regulations and offering guidance to ensure correct application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles

- Identifying areas for cost reductions across franchise and suggesting operational improvements

- Handling banking relationships and finding improvement opportunities

Candidate Profile:

What you need to have:

- Minimum 8 + years of experience in Finance including at least 4-5 years experience in corporate office of a listed company

- Experience in Big 4 is a plus

- Strong Hands on experience of Indian Accounting Standards (IND AS)

- Knowledge and background regarding Real Estate Finance will be preferred.
