Job Responsibilities for Senior Finance Manager :

1. Lead and oversee the accounting team responsible for managing revenue, expenses, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting.

2. Monitor day-to-day financial operations, including payment processing, invoice verification, and transaction accounting.

3. Prepare management information system (MIS) reports and financial data for analysis and decision-making.

4. Establish and maintain financial policies, automate processes, implement internal financial controls, and develop standardized procedures for the company.

5. Collaborate with statutory auditors to ensure effective monitoring of company finances.

6. Ensure compliance with statutory requirements such as GST, income tax, and TDS.

7. Review assessment orders and collaborate with tax consultants for appropriate action.

8. Research and resolve complex tax and accounting issues affecting the company.

9. Stay updated with technological advancements and utilize accounting software for financial purposes.

10. Maintain accurate records of tax payments, TDS, demand payments, litigations, and disputed amounts, and reconcile them with income tax returns and the current status with the tax department.

11. Monitor and interpret regulatory requirements set by RBI (Reserve Bank of India) for the financial services sector, ensuring compliance and facilitating any policy changes.

12. Develop an understanding of the Indian financial services sector.

13. Coordinate with various departments to align company plans and determine future directions.

14. Supervise and manage the finance department's operations, including goal setting, objective development, and designing a framework for achieving targets.

Qualifications and Skills for Senior Finance Manager:

1. Hold a Chartered Accountant qualification with a minimum of 4-5 years of experience in a Big 4 accounting firm.

2. Proven track record of effectively managing a team.

3. Prior experience and knowledge in the financial sector are preferred.

4. In-depth understanding of financial trends within the company and the broader industry.

5. Proficiency in using finance software.

6. Strong comprehension of business principles and practices.

7. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.

8. Thorough knowledge of statutory legislation and regulations related to finance.

9. Solid grasp of financial statistics and accounting principles.

10. Ability to lead, guide, and manage employees to ensure adherence to appropriate financial processes.

11. Exceptional organizational, planning, research, analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.

12. Proficiency in drafting and composing relevant replies, emails, and letters in English.

13. High level of integrity and honesty.
