Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Finance Manager with a strong background in inventory management, particularly within the mining industry. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing the financial aspects of our mining operations, ensuring accurate inventory valuation, financial reporting, and compliance with industry standards. This role requires a deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities within the mining sector, combined with strong leadership and analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management:

- Oversee all financial activities related to the mining operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

- Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's growth and profitability.

- Provide financial analysis and insights to guide strategic decision-making.

Inventory Management:

- Manage the end-to-end inventory process, including valuation, reconciliation, and reporting.

- Ensure accurate tracking of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods inventory.

- Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to optimize inventory levels and reduce carrying costs.

- Implement and maintain inventory management systems and controls.

Cost Control:

- Monitor and control costs associated with mining operations, including capital expenditures, operating costs, and inventory carrying costs.

- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement measures to improve efficiency and profitability.

Compliance and Risk Management:

- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and industry standards, including tax laws, accounting principles, and environmental regulations.

- Manage financial risk, including currency, commodity, and credit risks.

- Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies to ensure the integrity of financial statements.

Leadership:

- Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

- Work closely with other senior leaders to align financial strategies with overall business objectives.

- Provide training and support to operational teams on financial and inventory management best practices.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CA Inter| Cost Accounting etc OR Even a CA is preferred

- A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in financial management, with at least 5 years in the mining industry.

- Proven experience in inventory management, including valuation and reconciliation within a mining or industrial setting.

- Strong understanding of mining operations, cost accounting, and financial reporting standards.

- Proficient in financial software and ERP systems, with advanced Excel skills.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on results.
