Key Responsibilities
Financial Management and Reporting:
- Financial Statements: Oversees the preparation and ensure the accuracy of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Monthly and Annual Closing: Manage the monthly, quarterly and annual financial close processes.
- Variance Analysis: Conduct detailed variance analysis to understand deviations from the budget to the forecast.
Budget and Forecasting:
- Budget Preparation: Lead the preparation of the annual budget in collaboration with department heads.
- Financial Forecasting: Develop Financial forecasts and projections to guide strategic planning and decisionmaking.
- Cost Control: Monitor and control expenses to ensure alignment with the budget.
Compliance and Internal Controls:
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state financial regulations and standards.
- Internal Controls: Develop, implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure integrity of financial records.
- Audit Co-ordination: Coordinate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits and ensure timely resolutions of audit findings.
Financial Analysis and Strategy:
- Strategic Analysis: Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making and business development initiatives.
- Investment Analysis: Evaluate potential investment opportunities and provide recommendations based on financial analysis.
- Risk Management: Identify and manage financial risks, including currency risk, operational risk and credit risk systems and Process Improvements:
- Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for improving financial processes and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Technology Utilization: Leverage financial software and tools to streamline operations and improve financial reporting.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Recruit, mentor and develop high-performing finance team.
- Provide leadership, guidance and support to team members fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.
- Promote professional development and career growth opportunities for team members.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance and Accounting along with CA or related filed. MBA in Finance or CFA preferred.
- Extensive experience (typically 8+ years) in a senior finance leadership role.
- Strong financial acumen and analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and make strategic recommendations.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and team management abilities, presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial concepts to the non-financial stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of financial regulations, compliance requirements and risk management principles.
- Advanced proficiency in financial modelling, forecasting and analytical tools.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
