Senior Manager - Entrepreneur in Residence - Manufacturing - IIT/BITS/IIM/ISB

Roles and Responsibilities

We are an early stage startup backed by marquee investors, that is currently focused on establishing the core product market fit, and scaling the business. We are based out of India with a global client focus (key areas: US, EU+UK, Middle East Asia). As we scale, we will expand operations to cover South East Asia (manufacturing side), as well as widen market access to other key markets.

The founding team comprises folks with strong academic pedigree, and the experience of working with highly successful startups (Uber and Urban Company), consulting and investment banking.

We are a tech-first export house that focuses on end to end transaction ownership in the international trade ecosystem, causing a tangible difference in the journey for buyers.

About the role:

As an EIR, you will be deployed on strategic projects / initiatives that have a key bearing on establishing Nexprts scale-up plan, user-feedback cycles, or supply-side strategy. Across all projects, you'll be tasked with scoping the problem, building a set of experiments, executing the experiments with the help of the product/engineering/demand/supply teams, and establishing scalable processes for the future.

Some examples:

- Identifying new buyer groups / customer segments for growth, and developing relevant supply side value propositions, GTM strategies, and fulfillment engines

- Leading supply and product growth into new sub-categories, categories, sourcing regions/countries, and user segments: identifying the right set of suppliers, running pilots, setting pricing and quality standards, and scaling products to run on auto-pilot.

- Building technology tools that help scale operations / productize ground operations, in conjunction with product & engineering teams - digitising supply chains, QA QC, pricing and more.

- Driving innovation across product development and manufacturing - experimenting with new raw materials, processes, packaging, order-fulfillment models and more

- Working on critical projects, you be expected to leverage deep problem solving and business understanding - and lead projects to the point of completion. You will work closely with verticals in the organization, to ensure execution of projects.

Ideal Candidate:

We are looking for folks who are excited about building a 0 to 1 business, and have demonstrated ability to build and manage large teams in an operationally complex work environment. The candidate will be expected to juggle multiple categories / markets, leveraging the teams resources to conceptualize and execute solutions that will dictate the shape of the global trade industry.

Desired Candidate Profile

Requirements:

- Strong academic pedigree (IITs, BITS, IIMs, ISB etc)

- 2-4 years of experience (operational, project management, strategy roles - tier 1 consulting firms/banks, FMCG companies, key positions at startups)

- Willingness to get your hands dirty and solve on-ground problems of Indian Manufacturing
