Hiring a Sr Manager - Employee Relations

Location: Chennai

Years of Experience: 10-18 Years

Hybrid Working: 3 Days WFO/2 Days WFO

Key Responsibilities:

Consulting and Advisory:

- Advise on employee relations, including grievance resolution, investigations, and disciplinary actions.

- Ensure consistent application of ER policies and practices.

Policy Development:

- Develop and enhance ER/HR policies, standards, and procedures.

- Align policies with company standards and local labour laws.

Compliance and Governance:

- Stay updated on central and state labour laws and ensure statutory compliance.

- Oversee HR/ER policy standards and governance.

Risk Management:

- Assess legal risks in employee issues and ensure appropriate actions.

Relationship Building:

- Build strong relationships across the organization.

- Collaborate to resolve complex employee issues.

Confidentiality and Integrity:

- Handle confidential matters with maturity and discretion.

Metrics and Trends:

- Manage ER metrics and identify trends for decision-making.

Essential Skills and Experience:

- In-depth understanding of employee grievance resolution, investigations, and HR policies.

- Strong knowledge of labour laws and statutory compliance.

- Experience in HR/ER policy development and governance.

- Extensive HR experience, especially in employee relations.

- Excellent listening, analytical, and judgment skills.

- Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively.

- Strong risk assessment and prioritization skills.

- Capability to handle confidential matters independently and discreetly.

- Experience with industrial relations, including union management and labour litigation, is an advantage.
