Our client's UAE practice is a boutique firm specializing in corporate tax, transfer pricing and indirect tax matters. They provide highly specialized tax advice to their clients on critical tax matters. They are a team of Ex. Big4 professionals and largest tax boutique firm outside Big4.

As tax regulations evolve, the client aims to strengthen their team in the UAE to address the upcoming implementation of Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS) Pillar 2 rules (GLOBE Rules) which are expected to be made effective in Year 2025.

3) Role Overview

They are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Manager or Tax Director specializing in BEPS Pillar 2 (GLOBE Rules) to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of international tax laws and regulations, with specific expertise in the BEPS Pillar 2 framework. This role requires a technically proficient and agile professional capable of navigating the dynamic tax environment in the UAE, providing high-quality advisory services to their clients.

4) Key Responsibilities

- Technical Advisory: Provide expert advice on BEPS Pillar 2 (GLOBE Rules) and their implementation in the UAE, ensuring compliance with international tax standards.

- Client Engagement: Work closely with clients to understand their business needs and provide tailored tax solutions, particularly in relation to Pillar 2 compliance and strategies.

- Regulatory Updates: Monitor and analyze developments in international tax regulations, particularly BEPS initiatives, and advise clients on potential impacts and necessary actions.

- Project Management: Lead and manage tax advisory projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to high-quality standards.

- Team Leadership: Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.

- Stakeholder Management: Liaise with regulatory authorities, industry bodies, and other stakeholders to represent client interests and stay abreast of regulatory changes.

- Thought Leadership: Contribute to thought leadership initiatives, including writing articles, delivering presentations, and conducting training sessions on BEPS Pillar 2 topics.

5) Qualifications and Experience

- Education: Advanced degree in Taxation, Law, Accounting, or a related field.

- Professional Certification: CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification.

- Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience in international tax advisory, with specific expertise in BEPS Pillar 2 (GLOBE Rules).

- Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of international tax laws, BEPS initiatives, and transfer pricing principles.

- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to interpret complex tax regulations and provide practical solutions.

- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts to diverse audiences.

- Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, colleagues, and regulators.
