We are urgently hiring for the role of Senior Manager- Digital Publishing with a leading Publisher based in Delhi/NCR as per the below details.
Looking for someone from the educational publishing and edtech background, who have experience of curriculum development including the development of digital teaching-learning products.
Job Description - Manager- Digital Publishing - Editorial
Job Specifications
Production of digital editions of our courses:
- Manage the creation of Digi-suite packages and any other digital components required for our courses.
- Ensure colleagues and suppliers are setting print files up correctly for easy digital conversion and that rights for all assets are cleared for both print and digital use
- Create specifications and contracts for extra digital assets including videos, animations, interactives, digital assessment to complement print components
- Maintain the schedule for the creation of the digital editions and ensure all dependencies and risks are appropriately flagged
- Manage suppliers to deliver the digital editions of our courses to agreed specifications, quality criteria and timeframes
New platform development:
- Create specification for a new platform to deliver the digital elements of our courses both online and offline
- Identify the right supplier to deliver the new platform and agree budgets, quality criteria and timeframes
- Test what has been built at frequent intervals. Coordinate user testing of prototypes and beta versions with teachers and students in schools
- Work closely with sales and marketing to ensure they are trained on the platform and have all resources necessary for a successful rollout. Coordinate the production of user guides and training materials
- Ensure appropriate analytics and reporting have been set up to enable the relevant teams to monitor usage of the platform both from a customer service perspective and to inform future product development
- Once launched, manage the forward development roadmap for the platform. Establish priorities with the wider team and work with the supplier to deliver necessary enhancements to agreed timeframes and budgets
- Visit schools regularly to see how the product is being used and understand how it needs to develop to meet their needs
Digital product development to support deals:
- Contribute to proposals for deals where the customer requires digital products, e.g. for government tenders or for chain school purchases.
- If building a product from scratch, e.g. Mobile App, develop a specification and agree this with the customer before identifying potential suppliers, timeframes and costs
- If partnering on an existing product, work with the supplier of that product on specific requirements for each deal and then agree commercial models and timeframes with them
- For successful proposals, project manage the delivery of the agreed products and provide support for rolling these out
Monitoring of competitive environment and development of overall digital strategy:
- Work with sales, marketing and editorial to ensure the organization develops a clear and cogent digital content and delivery strategy for Indian schools and the wider learning market. Inform this through monitoring developments in India around e-learning.
- Subscribe to appropriate email updates; join online communities; attend conferences.
Coordination with internal teams:
- Work closely with all the in-house teams such as Editorial, Finance, Production, HR, Sales and Marketing to ensure smooth and cohesive work environment. Coordinate with the finance and production teams to ensure smooth payment workflows and deliverables.
