Scope of Job / Summary (Purpose of the job / Why does job exist-
The position holder is responsible for heading the HR activities of the organization and ensures that all HR activities in India are carried out in agreement with the company's policies and guidelines. Implementation of HR strategies according to the company needs with a focus on talent acquisition, staffing, compensation, health and welfare benefits, training and development, employee relations and compliance.
Main Accountabilities:
1. Articulate the implementation of Group HR Policies according to Indian legal requirements;
2. Implement and follow-up the HR Group Programs, ensuring the alignment of the Company HR practices with the Group HR strategy
3. Improve HR management processes, according to the Plant strategy regarding the qualification and motivation of all employees
4. Study, propose and implement actions related to employer branding, recruitment, training, professional careers, motivation, salaries and social benefits, performance evaluation and discipline
5. Raise the professional training necessities, execute the annual training plan for the Board approval and assure its fulfillment, in order to ensure the employees qualification and development
6. Determine, together with the several Departments- Directors and according to the strategic goals defined, the appropriate headcount for each sector of the Company, to be submitted to the Board approval, in order to have an adjusted headcount.
7. Follow-up and control the evolution of headcount, so that there are no deviations in relation to the planned
8. Ensure the payroll process and administrative procedures, in order to ensure the salary payments and all the legal, fiscal and processual activities
9. Ensure the compliance of the legal obligations to which the Company is subjected to on the area of human resources, as well as to ensure the accurate fulfillment of the labour law.
10. Assess or represent the Board on business and meetings with the workers and professional organizations concerning human resources management.
11. Promote employees safety and ensure the law compliance with regard to the safety of workers
12. Ensure the operation of occupational medicine and medical services existing in the Company, in order to promote the employees welfare, wellness and health
13. Ensure the Company security and surveillance services, in order to watch over the assets of the company and for the safety of workers
14. Ensure the proper functioning of canteen, in order to be assured the quality of meals served and the good conditions of the facilities
15. Define, approve and ensure the implementation of the Annual Internal Communication Plan of the Company, in order to support the Company communication strategy
16. Ensure the compliance of the Corporate's communication and image rules in the Company

Mahle holding has 2 businesses (Crankshaft and Piston). Crankshaft business has 2 plants and Piston business has 1 plant. Work closely with Plant HR teams.
