RESPONSIBILITIES :

1. Doing independent research, analyze, and present data as assigned

2. Expected to work in close collaboration with the company's team and clients on analytics projects for general insurance related to pricing/claim analysis for personal and commercial lines of business

3. Predictive modeling based on GLM, other statistical techniques or ML based algorithm for personal and commercial lines

4. Develop detailed SQL/R/Python codes for data preparation, model development or model scoring to be used in production

5. Critically examine and deep dive into models

6. Prepare detailed documentation of models and preparing presentations

7. Assist in learning and development of new team members

8. Identify and participate in continuous improvement initiatives

9. Ensure compliance with Data Privacy and Protection Guidelines

Role Overview :

1. Complete understanding of the current state of affairs and problem statement

2. Experience in data extraction and data manipulation in SQL/R/Python

3. In-depth data analysis like identifying major trends, univariate and multi-variate analysis

4. Personal and commercial lines general insurance pricing, or predictive models like capacity planning, customer churn, media mix or other predictive models development, deployment or maintenance

5. Knowledge of general insurance domain and P&C or P&C actuarial concepts is a must

6. Good written and verbal communication skills

Academic Qualification & Experienc e:

1. Bachelor's/Master's degree in economics, mathematics, actuarial sciences, computer science/engineering, operations research or related analytics areas; candidates with BA/BS degrees in the same fields from the top tier academic institutions are also welcome to apply

2. 7-10 years' experience, preferably in general insurance pricing analytics or predictive modeling across other insurance business functions for personal and commercial lines of business

3. Model development experience in R/Python

4. Strong and in-depth understanding of statistics

5. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

6. Able to work in fast pace continuously evolving environment and ready to take up uphill challenges

7. Is able to understand cross cultural differences and can work with clients across the globe
